You do realize a 0.01% tick means nothing to a majority of the volume of trade...
What value is 0.01 ISK equal to 0.01% of the total price... 100 ISK. (100ISK * 0.0001 = 0.01ISK)
This means that the tick value is 0.01 ISK.. What difference does this make? Consider some of the most heavily traded items in the game are under 100ISK.
The following items off the top of my head have are valued below 100ISK.
Trit Pyrite Mex Iso Nocx Tungsten Carbide Titanium Carbide Fernite Carbide Crystalline Carbonide Sylramic Fibers An absolute assload of Ammunition types.
Considering these items are not only responsible for EVERY ITEM IN EVE and are REQUIRED for ISK generation by... Mission Runners, Ratters (Major ISK faucets) and everyones beloved PVP I can honestly say the effect of your idea would be.... so minimal at best it would be pointless to implement.
Now I'm all for some sort of market mechanics change in which 0.01 ISK wars are hindered in some way but I doubt this is the solution.
All you'll effectively do is annoy people who sell higher ticket items in which any decent amount of volume doesn't effect it as drastically as sub 100 ISK priced items.
1,000 ISK (Drones and other stuff) 0.10 ISK tick - Woopdee do!
10,000 ISK (Cheap Frigates and some larger higher priced complex reactions) 1 ISK tick.. Still not much change and wouldn't stop 1 ISK wars.
100,000 ISK (Mods) 10 ISK - Meh it's started to see the effect but 10 ISK is not much to whine about.
1,000,000 ISK (Cruisers and T2 mods) 100 ISK - Ok starting to get annoying as a single price change now costs 100 ISK (The code of the Broker fee) + Tax which means a 1 tick change now costs 205 ISK total for traders.
10,000,000 ISK (BS's, BC's and T2 Cruisers) 1,000 ISK - Now it's getting ridiculous 1,000 ISK Tick in either direction will either screw over the manufacture or the consumer.
100,000,000 ISK (Highend T2 BC's and some T3 BS) 10,000 ISK At this price it probably will not make a difference apart, they'll just jack the price, if you're paying 100mil for something 10,000 is not much difference, and nothing to whine about.
1,000,000,000 ISK (Freighters T2 and not) 100,000 ISK - Again still not much range when you're forking over 1b ISK for something.
All you've effectively done is jack the price up of expensive items, and annoy the crap out of the middle of the line manufactures and marketeers. The 1mil - 10mil range is very popular and the hardest market with the lowest margins. The extreme low end is not fought over enough so there will be no impact there and will still suffer from 0.01 wars. The Extreme high end has decent competition but like I said if you're buying something for those prices an extra 0.01% is no big deal. The end result is the middle range priced items that a lot of people fight over, and already have small margins on is hit the hardest, and I don't think you'll want that.
