The twist? Well, the Nyx and two of the dreadnaughts self destructed before they were killed. It gets better. This capital force had absolutely no support in system. They had no scouts next door in any of the three systems including our current home system of DY- which is right next door. If they had, they might have noticed the 40 or so people in local getting ready to jump in on them. If I were a betting man, I think I'd have to say that the very careful and experienced capital pilots were relying on the fact that the system they were in was cyno jammed to protect them because we all know, cynojammers = god mode amirite? Needless to say, cyno jammers do not equal god mode. The HEX Coalition which is supposedly unstoppable in Cloud Ring has come to a halt as sloppily and poorly as it began. Dara Cothrom, now being buffered by other forces in the area who HEX agitated are banding together to return them to their ORE homelands. The best part of it all, the Nyx pilot as was explained to us in local petitioned the loss. Good luck with that. We also don't fakemail ships that enemies self-destruct. This still doesn't remove the fact that the capital ships were lost. I wasn't there so I don't comment the rest of the worthless smacking about the fight, true or not. Overall nice post with awesome chest beating thread. And they truly deserved to die for their mistake. Fake killmails are killmails generated where ships weren't actually killed. IE. A titan which you should have killed, but didn't. The pilot was obviously so upset and bothered by his impending doom that he intended to cheat us from our well deserved killmail and the modules fitted to his ship. The semantics of the kill are not of high value to us, since our killboard is meant to be an accurate tracker of how we perform as an alliance not a device we will allow to be abused through game mechanics for pilots to "beat the history books". 2. If this is to be believed and the pilots weren't bothered, then why not just take the loss like any other pvp ship? Why kill yourselves like a bunch of cultists trying to catch a ride on Halley's Comet? Why petition a loss that was not caused by faulty game mechanics but sheer stupidity? Obviously, the emorage is so strong that they had to throw this online tantrum to deflect some of the shame in this most embarassing loss. You can say, "we don't care, it's just isk" all you want. You can say that about towers, ships, modules but at the end of the day those capitals were lost in an attempt to complete a goal and if you didn't care about the goal then why risk roughly 35b isk to achieve them? Was it free isk or did it take you x months to get together like the rest of us? Hit me up if you have any free isk. I'd love some.

Tbh your just being facicious and obstropolous with that remark, they DID kill it, its not a fake killmail, its a replacement killmail, which is required because there is a flaw in the game mechanics, namly if your in a big enough ship with a big enough hitpoint buffer, u can destroy yourself and deny the ppl whole faily pwnt you a killmail as a trophy of their fine work. Personly i think selfdestructing is just going out in a big blast of lame, as any one of the many many ppl who have killmails for my many many cap loses will testify , I don't do it. but each to thier own, u pay your subscription , you play your game, ur just a troll so shut it , and also your corp is ghey, also u r ugly and smell also u r a virgin also your shoes r ugly also your shoes smell

Are you saying... that even though we caught a mothership, bubbled its hopes for escape, killed its friends, popped its fighters, broke its tank, and made it explode... that somehow, since the pilot decided to right click on himself and self destruct... that we didnt kill it?! So according to you, capital kills only exist when the dying pilot has his manpants on and dies with his ship... and every ship that self destructs might not have been there at all. Props to you for that, but self destruct no matter how lame means the pilot destroyed his own boat. Not You. It doesn't matter how hard you want it to be different ... you are posting FAKE killmails for something you didn't kill. Look in large fleet battles pilots often self destruct, it happened this weekend in the south, but i will bet you wont see a single FAKE killmail for those self destructed cap ships on any kill board involved in those fights, north or south. You should be happy with killing 3 caps and making 3 self destruct. You can't claim an accurate KB if its full of fake killmails, no matter how you try to spin it.

Pretending "oh he chose to" is all well and trolly, but doesn't give you a mothership. Mostly its just a game design flaw (since truthfully any MS can self-destruct before it dies unless you drop 50 dreads on it) in the killmail system. We've had 2 motherships self-destruct on us now. Their pilots remain just as traumatized by a backdoor visit as they would have been if they had not pressed the self-destruct button while dying.
