Edited by: Temitten on 05/04/2009 16:10:59 Yeah.. I know you're supposed to have warrior IIs return and orbit, and the scoop them since they 99/100 just end up circling your ship if you try to get them to return to drone bay right away, but I keep hitting that command anyway, by mistake. Since it doesn't work, could it be removed?

99/100? no...not even close. I'd say maybe 10 in every 100

Fixing the drones so they cut mwd when they arive at controler is they way to go. Removing the command is just hiding a defect. |

I'd be happy if they didn't decide to become abandoned as soon as they reach you 1/20 of the time. Having them orbit inanely is bad enough, but to leave your control completely is worse.

Just make it so they cut MWD when they get within 3km of the host ship. ______________________________________________ Haruhiist since December 2008

I've never witnessed this. Any ideas what's causing it? What other factors are involved? _

Drone speed i guess. Its same as drones failing to dock.
They approach you at high speed and try to orbit you while docking at this speed. Then 2 things can happen: 1. they leave orbit before "dock" command works thus orbitting you infinitely (need to order em to attack something and then order back again) 2. they probably get "dock" order but as soon as order gets to them they are already outside of dock range thus you lose control of em and drone sits idle in space waiting for a pickup
And im fairly certain problem is only with drone speed because said issues never happened to me with medium/heavy drones. Only the small buggers.
EDIT: o yea it doesnt matter if my Ishtar was using MWD, AB or standing still at the moment. Lost control over my drones in all 3 cases already.
