I have always giggled when Goons say they don't care. There have been a handful of exits to go play other games, but you always come back. I can see the fun in general griefing, but you wouldn't have such a large propaganda machine if you truly didn't care.

You know, that ridiculus "i pretend its just a game" attitude is worse than the e-bushido one.

This "just a game" online is something you devote years of your life, and while its not something more than a game, you indeed play it very seriously. You have been camping a single *&$*%ú& system for 2 months for god's sake.

And to clarify a few things, this is an mmorpg, where rpg is the acronym for role playing game. Even if you don't do the weird talking-looks a bit irrelevant thingie, you still role-pray. When you either play the alliance dictator-head spy of tremendous power and overflowing ego (Mittani) or you play the l33t pirate or the loyal Federal Navy mission runner, you still role-play.

And you still roleplay when you play a goon. A goon, like a Bob (kenny) is a character. A goon like any "insert group tag here" is a character. This kind of group has the distinct characteristic that its idenity is so strong that it overlaps with someone's identity. And it generally prevails. See political groups, religious cults/groups/whatever. Especially when we are talking about weak, unformed identities.

The fun part of the goons was that they used to be chaotic. Nearly an anarchy in Eve fighting the supreme power (BoB). Though, the problem is that if an anarchy becomes government (withholds the power), it doesn't have a meaning anymore and it has to die.

Well, I'm not sure how you consider all defensive sov that BoB had suddenly disappearing overnight a level playing field. But Sov was the one thing keeping the massive zerg rush that is goons and their pets (oh that one sounds familiar eh?) from blobbing the hell out of them.

Sov is an intended feature, while losing is in one instant is not. Building up sov over months vs. losing it to one click of a button... THAT sounds like a level playing field to you?

They haven't been THE MOST POWERFUL alliance in eve since the end of the max failure. They lost this right and title, since then they have been nothing more then what pets and allies have made them. Every time kenny has tried to do something alone, goons and friends have crushed them back to empire.

They have lost 2 entire capfleets to goons and allies, they have lost 3 entire regions worth of pos (600+ towers) to goons and allies, and they will continue to lose every time they set foot in my house as long as DADDY ET isn't around to protect them.

If you think otherwise, ask lord molle himself who left his space for a month to watch it burn only to have spent another month trying to capture 1 station.

But its all cool guys, we have -A- to save us, we will be fine

A level playing field is exactly that, equal for both sides. I see that when you say level playing field you mean triple DD's on battleship fleets under protection of cyno jammers with a carrier swarm.

Every time kenny has tried to do something alone, goons and friends have crushed them back to empire.

They have lost 2 entire capfleets to goons and allies, they have lost 3 entire regions worth of pos (600+ towers) to goons and allies, and they will continue to lose every time they set foot in my house as long as DADDY ET isn't around to protect them.

If you think otherwise, ask lord molle himself who left his space for a month to watch it burn only to have spent another month trying to capture 1 station.

But its all cool guys, we have -A- to save us, we will be fine
