I think what CCP is trying to get players to do is mix up the guns a bit. Problem there is than there is no real reason to.
Drones imo were done wrong from the start. Has anyone ever played SFC2? Drones in that game were escort ships.
Drones as we have them now should be reserved for carrier class ships, which we sorta lack.
If drones were changed a bit, BSes could have maybe 2 drone cruisers or 4 drone frigs to escort. Obviously this would not promote teamwork, but if we dont get much teamwork as is, wtf can be done to promote it more other than not let ships attack outside their class. ____________ Sex / Rank 9 / SP: 1280 of 2304000

CCP went about this entirely the wrong way. Instead of making these warmachines' only decent target a planet, they should have introduced a system to make operating them cost in proportion to their tactical and strategic value.
Basically, they should have put some damn gas in the game. Logistics is the limit to power. You can only field as much as you can support.
But rather than do that relatively simple thing, they decided to make investments in these warmachines about as worthless as buying stock in Enron.
Anyone who says fuel is a bad idea is agreeing to every BS nerf that happens.
One way or another it was going to happen. I would much prefer having to build an infrastructure rather than rebuilding them each week.
1 BS SHOULD change the course of the battle. While Frigs and Cruisers shouldnt be instakilled, they shouldnt stand a chance...unless they are just plain overwhelming.
I dont see the need to introduce Bombers, what purpose could they serve that an Interceptor cant already do better. ____________ Sex / Rank 9 / SP: 1280 of 2304000
