I was playing around with one last night, I didn't notice that it really did anything against rats.
1. Do they work on rats at all? 2. If so, is the range and tracking penalty worth a damn? 3. Will it reduce the range of missiles? 4. Every time I used it, it would put a purple/blue ball on my ship, but it would never go away. After a few fights my ship had 5 or 6 of those balls around it, even after I shut the module entirely off. Anyone else have this happen? 5. Is it worth a damn in pvp?
Thanks!

1. no 2. they do work quite well from wat peeps have told me. 3. no, it only reduces the guns range i think. 4. its a bug, prolly just gotta dock and undock, or log and relog. 5. depends on wat ur fighting, wat ur setup is etc. (i dont do PvP tho, so dont take my word) ----------------------------------------

I love these modules personally, they're very effective at their intended role, which is to mess someones turrets up. If you're in a smaller ship that's fairly hard to hit to start with, then it will make you almost impossible for a turret to connect with you. I don't think they work on NPCs, but the tracking speed penalty is quite harsh for any player who depends on turrets. They don't affect missiles in any way though, so if you want to defend against them, you need to make other arrangements :)
The purple matrix sphere thing does linger on from when the module is activated till you next jump or dock, which is just a display bug.

so some perpetually mwd'ing bs, with several of these and several smartbomb's?
Someday I want to put 8 large smartbombs on a bs, just to see how it does.

answer to that question is, taken from "known issues", which means nothing u do will make it better.
- Tracking Disrputor I module still displays a pulsating blue/purple wireframe around your own ship when this module is activated. This wireframe does not go away until session change.

they're effective against a mega, but it takes 3-4 of em. If you can blow 3-4 slots on EW, go for target jamming or damps.

Well projectiles are not affected by them, because taking 50% tracking away from zero still gives you zero tracking.
