Hi guys.
i'm coming to the end of a business plan with my brother in setting up a paintball centre.
what i need are suggestions and drawings of possible paintball arenas.
assume a blank canvas. no trees, with a slight slope (say 5-10 degree slope). grassland at present.
i would like a mix of map drawings/diagrams, ranging from urban warfare maps, trench warfare, speedball, etc etc.
I hereby offer 10 mill isk for each and every DECENT suggestion up to a limit of 500 mill total. by decent i mean no "thar be trees hur hur, splat splat" or other typical goonie stuff.....
cheers lads, i look forward to seeing some of the ideas come through.

I'm not going to draw you a picture but I played a fun game at a paintball place in which the defending team held a prisoner of the attacking team and you had to free him. The defenders had a small base and the attackers could use a variety of barriers to take cover behind as they made their approach. Not all of these barriers were solid and some had gaps in so that there was no garuntee that a paintball wouldn't get through a gap and hit you.
I was on the attacking and we lost because I accidently shot the prisoner while trying to shoot the enemy holding him.

Edited by: Micheal Dietrich on 07/04/2009 17:07:51 Obviously this isn't a scaled fit but here
Its a spin off of a course we have here. Both sides would have small buildings, the dotted lines in the back being an optional wall if you would like an enclosed room. Blue lines are doors and red lines are windows.
The squares in the middle are old cars that can be used for cover. You can get hollowed out junkers from anywhere. Just be sure to remove all glass from them (including headlights and taillights)
The half ass'd circles can be a variety of things like old tires, sandbags, or 50gal drums and these items can actually be moved around to change it up.
The brown circles are the starting points.

Just a giant maze, with plenty of long corridors and openings for you to shoot into adjacent corridors but not travel into them
The walls should be 7ft so you will have trouble shooting over them, but with 4ft sections where you can shoot into adjacent corridors.
Also in some areas you can add in watchtowers so you can overlook areas and snipe some people. ------------------------------------- My other alt is a Ferrari |

Well somebody in the UK came up with the idea of a CS DE_Dust map..not sure how far they got tho.. Failing that any typ of scenario with a bomb defuse mission..REDS defend..Blues have to assault and defuse bomb.. Some old water tanks as props for the target..perhaps an industrial setting?

Actually, do a 1:10 scale model of your town's centre. Then make the players put on cardboard boxes and pretend to be giant mecha.

barbed wire and paint grenades mines pretty much a nightmare when it comes into liability insurance.....same with tunnels.

That's where you went wrong. Screw two sides, if you have enough timber to make shacks on the course make 6-9 of them, add a few wrecked cars or other engines on the roads inbetween, add some sandbagged craters and call it Stalingrad.
People should be ****ting their pants every corner they turn and feel safe nowhere, forget keeping a frontline, all over the place is the way to go!
Should/would/could have, HAVE you chav!

I take it you didn't look at the layout. Theres been many a time when my team mates shoot at the opposing players and a few of us sneak around wide and get em in the back (because our buildings do not have a rear wall.
Plus the design I put down is our one and only indoor course where I live. Kinda hard to cram more than that in a small warehouse. If we want open then we go up to 20 miles in any direction and get a variety of what we want. So far my favorite is down by the birds of prey area where we have a football sized field that is filled with boulders large enough to hide a whole team behind.

I saw and I wasn't impressed, four walled shacks or buildings, depending on what you have to work with that allows for firefights in all directions across the whole course with no clearly defined shooting lane is what you want. Not an easily defensible frontline with a mop up option once the center doesn't hold.
Admittedly these things will be hard as hell to referee but then again so is airsoft, people will have to man up and own up to being shot some.
Should/would/could have, HAVE you chav!

Completely flat, barren field. Quickest aim wins. I'd draw a map, but it'd just be a big brown square. In before Ralara. |

Eve mail me your e-mail in game, together with the size of the plot of land you've got, how far away from the edge can I place objects, what materials can I use (wood, concrete, bricks, etc) and how high can I build up, will I be able to use ground level only, or 2 floors or maybe even 3?
With all that information eve mailed, give me 1 week and get ready to pay out 500m-1b depending on how good you want the design.
All additional information you find important, please also include them in the eve mail. ------------------------

the ide map is a map where you are forced to work together as a team.
Also hiding and taking pot shots is boring, basiclly camping is boring.
I'd advise try thinking of a game which has a map which you CAN'T camp in and take pot shots.
I'd really enjoy a map like that
