Edited by: Kaisen Hayato on 09/04/2009 16:46:40 Quick question that's probably been asked many a time...
So I've reached a mish in the epic arc where I keep dying (lost my kestrel, then a cormorant, then a merlin I was trying to get my stuff back in... ).
Figure I go do something else while I train more skills. So mining yeah?
I'm currently back in Citadel, been mining condensed veldspar in a .6 because I didn't know dense was worth more... Anyway, this leaves me with a **** ton of veldspar to sell, where do I go to sell it? Been advised not to refine it since my refining skills aren't high enough.

Edited by: Tandin on 09/04/2009 16:54:38 Look at the market under the "buy" portion at the bottom. Sort by price and find the highest buy price in high sec. (Then haul your stuff to that station and sell it)
The other option is just to create a sell order but that takes a little experience at judging the prices on the market in order to sell it relatively quickly. You can always create one at the lowest sell order price and it should move rather fast. "Boo hoo. Cry some more." CCP Whisper

Right, thanks.
Incidentally, is there something better I could be mining in highsec?

Right now, no.. trit prices are so high (roughly double 8 months ago) that it is the most profitable highsec ore. "Boo hoo. Cry some more." CCP Whisper

That may well be true, but don't take general advice like that without verifying it.
Look up veldspar in the market window, and see how much you can sell your pile for.
Now, go to the reprocessing window, select all your veldspar, DON'T hit the reprocess button, but make a note of how much tritanium you would get if you did.
Then look up tritanium in the market window and see how much you could sell it for if you reprocessed it.

And thanks a lot to whoever wrote the mining guide that says rats won't shoot your mining frigate if you eject from it to fetch your hauler... Chalk up yet another lost ship

LOL... What guide is this? That is nothing I have ever seen or heard of before.. The truth is, unless you want to get rid of a ship, ejecting from it in space is a bad idea all around, as anyone with the appropriate skill to fly that ship can hop in it and its theirs.
