Sybylle	Posted - 2004.08.26 11:09:00 - [1] Hi everybody I'm trying to find an english translation for the name of this french corp, wich also reflects a mentality... Boulet can be translated as "ball". Exactly, it would be a cannon ball, like the one that where used in the old pirate times. It anyway has nothing aggressive. In fact, it's more likely this kind of boulet we are thinking of... When you say to somebody that he is a "boulet", you mean he is heavy. For instance, a boulet is the person that says very poor jokes, that always forgets something, like his own house keys when he closes the door. It's also the person that will close his car with the keys inside... It's always said friendly to someone...A boulet is somebody that you are friend with, but that always do things wrong, that only knows poor jokes everybody knows, but that are new for him, forgets important things... If you have any idea...It would be nice... But burden would very rarely be used with the 'the', an indefinate 'a' would be used, as in 'the child was a burden to the donkey'. Thanks for answers If you are refering to the game that uses thrown balls and originated in southern france where they initially used small cannon balls, then i believe it is called 'Boules' in english as once again the english copied another language (they do that a lot). I roleplay... there is this computer game called "Earth - The First Genesis" where i play a character in the early 21st century.
