Do u prefer the graphics nowadays or in the video and what do u rather see in eve?
imho i would see the stuff in that video especially those missile trails looks cool or the missile exploding graphics.

From looking at the vid i am now asking my self why the hell ccp change it, the vid makes the game play look 10 or 20 times better becuase of the graphics. ccp why dont u change it back to this way???

Yea, it does look better. Wonder why they took all this stuff out? Perhaps they're lazy? Or maybe just don't want to satisfy us, after all, who cares about the community.

I rememeber Eve looking like that. I also remember the ****load of exception popup boxes you would get in those versions of the beta client. All in all I'm happier with the current one..
But Graphics wise..Hmm dunno really. I'm happy with the current graphics. (Now let them go back to fixing the damn projectiles:P)

hmm, and then you consider that Eve is currently having a lot of lag trouble, and if they implemented updated graphics like those shown in this video, the lag problem would get even worse...
Maybe once all the lag problems are sorted out, they'll update the graphics once more to how you want it, but right now is most certainly not the best time...

Whats the problem with the lagg anyway.. slow computers? or is it the server itself? i mean the client version should have those neat stuff like missile trails and make options for graphics like turn it on or off like what the other guy said.. imo eve has no real graphics option!

There are several things you gotta keep in mind with that video. One its from the beta version. At the time of release I'm sure some of the effects that are shown ran like complete crap on most computers. Also its a promo video its specifically made to make the game look really awesome. And from another comment there evidently was crashing issues. If you were to take an actual unedit unstylized video of the beta I'd bet you find it doesn't look hardly any better than what we have now. Though I agree some of the explosions definately looked better I'd make no judgements on a promo video. Anyone know of any non promo videos of the beta?

hey, i'm not talking about the explosions or anything, because that might look better, but could've been bugged (and that's why they left it out) but the GUI :o wow that looks SO much better...

Well that GUI looks good...
But the current one has much more options and is much more user friendly. The GUI shown in those screenshots looks like an ars to control.
As for the gfx allround well...
I saw a missile impact which looked nice...but really the present day gfx are atleast AS GOOD.
The only thing i really like much better is the warpeffect. The tunnel that is in EVE right now is totally bogus imho...
EDIT: What does really stick out over the current EVE however is the soundeffects...
The soundeffects in that promotrailer are great, the current EVE soundeffect are just dull. Hearing the sound of a ship going into warp over and over...its always the same, same goes for the weapons. EVE sounds are pretty lame. There is definitly room for improvement there.

It's the exact same things as what Zombie did, you may not attack in "safe-areas" (empire/within sentry range) without loosing your ship.

I think EVE is the only game wiht no real graphic option.. so it can not satisfy all the people, cause we have all different computer, some want more graphic quality, other just want less just to work on their computers.
But graphic is the last problem this game has... lag, buggs, server closed down...

I think EVE is the only game wiht no real graphic option.. so it can not satisfy all the people, cause we have all different computer, some want more graphic quality, other just want less just to work on their computers.

Think thats because you hear them for the first time. If these soundeffects would be ingame and you'd hear them on a daily basis they would be come dull aswell
