If you're THAT afraid of using your MAIN character to travel through 'dangerous' space...then don't leave 1.0 sec systems...that simple. If you decide to leave secure space, then you're taking a risk...using alts to scout ahead to reduce that risk is "cheap" for lack of a better term.
Think about it...things shouldn't be handed to you all the time...sometimes you have to take a risk when doing something RISKY!! Make sense??? I think so.

Alts are'nt lame, any more than two people cooperating are lame....
We all have three alts per account so its a level playing field...
It seems to me that anything that makes it hard for someone to easily kill someone else, is considered "lame"...........which is lame in my opinion..

alts arent lame at all... just another useful tool in the game, which everyone has a right to use to their full advantage. i mean if your so bothered that pirates use alts to scout and haul, why are you not complaining about ore theives instead... if anything in this game would be considered lame, it isnt pirates using alts, its people using alts to steal ore... not that im judging, just saying your not being fair, and singling out pirates. If the game mechanics allow it, you can do it, simple as that. It isnt up to YOU whether someone uses an alt, its up to them, because its their account, they're paying for it and they can play the game with it however they like

This way people would be able to use their main characters to scout without everyone running the minute u enter the system.
Or is that not carebear enough for you?
Again, its been said already in this thread but all these ideas being talked about would have no effect on the people who have 2 accounts. I dont know many people who use the other char slots for anything other than posting on these forums with an alt since training these alts takes away from training the main character.

If you`d have read the full thread, you`d probalbly able to see that i didnt blame on particular person, but just wanted to start a discussion about the in my opinion "lameness" of alt pirating.
I m very happy you were not able to get anything of her ship because she was just playing for 5 days.
And I understand that blowing up indy must be fun for you, because its probably the only thing you can hadle without getting podded.
