I wonder if this wouldn't help out CCP a lot if they made a weekly news item on the most common petition.
I thought about this because of the (stupid) changes in the smartbombs which apparently are due to so many petitions from clueless players who lose their ships because they misuse their smartbombs.
So why not make a weekly item explaining the most common petition (i lost my ship because...), explain why they lost it, how they could have prevented it (look around, check range, think before you act...) and explain why they won't be reimbursed. Same with other common petitions (this guy ganked me, that guy threatened me,...) It would really help people to know how petitions are handled, what things are suitable for petitions and what things are not because they could easily have been prevented by the player if he paid attention.

It will never happen, due to the fact that CPP doesn't want it known widely that they do not fix the most common problems. The list would be static.
Example: The I have to repackage my ship bug. I have had this bug many times and its been months since I first got it.

Why don't you just write an article every week and ask a mod to sticky it for that week. At the end of the article you can have a list of previous articles with links. You want it, do it.

I'd consider doing that, but as I am not a GM, I might find it a little hard to know what the common petitions/answers are...

there is a FAQ already, what I think is being asked for is a dev blog style thing that the GM's answer the commonly asked petitions in for everyone's benefit.

Problem with this idea, is that if they post the answer to such a petition, people will always refer back to the thread and say "well you did that for soandso". This would put CCP in a loop of having to decide each case by previous cases, instead of on a case by case basis as they do not.
If you dont follow any of my logic up there, just think of the reasons they dont allow posting of GM conversations on the boards.
One way around this would to be posting the cases that they wont do anything about, but this would make them look like heartless thugs if you constantly see "sorry, thats how the game works, you just lost your first 6mil cruiser legitly."
