If I want to suicide gank someone who ****ed me off in the forums, is that bannable? I mean, of course I can gank who I want in-game for "legit" reasons (for some definition of legit), but I wonder if there's some invisible line between the forums and the game that must remain uncrossed. Will CCP see me as a bannable "griefer"? I would of course have to tell said victim why he got ganked, else I wouldn't derive full satisfaction from the kill. In fact, I might make a habit of this practice to increase my forum peen.

It is a perfectly good excuse to gank somone for forum transgressiion. If that doesn't work then just say you were "trying to lower you sec status".

Killing someone in game is NEVER bannable, just have a reason; 'fun' still counts.
(Okay i admit i'm not too sure on the whole 1.0 newbie system smartbombing thing, but i think you can still get away with that; say that he is the alt of someone you are contracted to kill or something.)

You will more than likely find that CCP would support that sort of thing cause it is really part of the RP side of the game & as long as you aren't harrassing the person or using a hack or anything like that which is bannable there should be no problems at all. (Doesn't RP often flow over into the forums?)
Anyway good luck & a few great video's of your action wouldn't go astray.

You will probably not get banned for anything without a warning unless you make IRL threats.
In this specific case you can gank and pod him probably a million times, "I hate his guts, his alt killed my father" should be a good enough reason.
