Hi, i just started again after a long break.
I reactivated my 3 accounts and started mining in New Caldari (next to Jita) i would get alot of seemingly random disconects.
Someone told me this might be bcs New Caldari is next to Jita, so I moved to another area, and it seems better here,
but whenever im more or less idle with 1 client i get disconected!
I didnt have this problem before my break.
anyone know what might be causing this?
any help would be greatly appreciated!

Not sure, but there seems to be a timer that kicks you out when you're not doing anything for a while. If you join a very active channel (help for example) it seems to stop it somewhat.

Yeah this is annoying me too. It's a hassle when I'm playing two accounts at once. If one of them is sitting idle until rats come along while the other is mining or something like that, he keeps getting booted off. Seems like it happens more when the server population is high. I'd like to at least see the timeout increased.

I have been online for the last almost 2 hours without a single disconnect, being IDLE almost the whole time
check your modem, router, and ping times to the server. my old router was very disconnecty, got a new one, then after a while the modem got disconnecty, got a new one. everything was good for a while, now my computer just crashes at random intervals

I've heard its more likely to be your ISP dropping you, rather than EVE.

I wish they had a timer. Getting sick of all these people staying online when they're not active. Hard to hunt people when they're not playing the game. Would love an afk flag or a icon that simply grays out after an hour or so of no activity. Ganking Buddhist Nun |

imho being idle for about 5 minutes should cause one to get disconnected.
Then again, numbers would fall from about 35k online to about 1,200. Might not be a great idea after all.

How about this. I have 3 clients running on the same computer to run 3 accounts. One of the accounts DC If I let it idle for more than 2 minutes.
The other two accounts can Idle all day if I let them. Dose not matter which client I use with which account, the one DC no matter what I do, the others won't.
All accounts set the same or different does not matter.
Figure that out, I can't.

When I had DSL it was chronic. Merely leaving the PC for about 10 mins resulted in discos left and right. Now it can happily stay on all night afk-styly without discoing. \o/
Damn that DSL and it's crapness.
