Decimal points are europe specific?
Well, in the US, we use . instead of , which can make things confusing. We use , to separate hundreds from the thousands, hundred thousands from the millions, hundred millions from the billions, etc., so a quick glance at that number makes you think its 295 thousand.

it's the same in the UK, . is decimal , seperates thousands and hundreds, i would read that as 295 thousand
