I am really not sure if this is something I missed, but is there combat log? Real time one , or if not some other type of log where I can see how my guns and drones performed on particular target?
Just like in any other RPG/MMO game you can see in combat log
"Your back stab kidney volley shot to XXXmade YYY damage (ZZZ resisted)"...
etc etc..
so that I can see if for example I need some Omnidirectional Tracking Link I or maybe two of those because I can see
"Yor Ogre I missed XXX..."
Just like that info in the middle of fight that we see on the screen but in log format :)

The option it seems you are looking for can be found within the accessories menu near the bottom of the buttons on the in-game GUI.
Click on accessories, this then gives you three more options; one of which is the log.
Within this you should find all damage dealt and received providing you have not turned the 'simple combat logs' option on within the log menu...

Probably because it would create an unnecessary amount of lag, especially for larger battles where people can't even bother turning drone models on or need to notify CCP 24 hours in advance to get a special server for their combat needs, much less worry about how much damage they're actually doing.
And, just in keeping with EVE thought... don't post references to WoW. Surprised no ones mocked you already, and it's a fresh thread. Also, not sure haven't been home yet to see if they fixed it, there's been a scripting error plaguing the game where all hits are "barely sc****d" or some such.
Anyways if you're worried about drone tracking, for PVE use hammerheads on basically everything, for PVP warriors for frigs, hammerheads for everything else... occassionally you'll have the drone bay for more, you might take a set of ogres/amarr sentries for battleships, but really the skill to get T2 Ogres is a lot more intensive than T2 lights/mediums (t2 mediums > t1 heavies), so you should be using T2 hammerheads while working on Drone Interfacing before bothering with Ogres...

regarding WoW - it has its good sides and its bad sides..just like Eve.. so I don't care about references.. If somebody wants to troll about it, be my guest.
I just want to have full info so I can make the right decisions. That is all.
