yup original price is 15.65$
(15.65/24)*23 = 15$

You can access the forums during downtime, so use them. You have to pay for your account to be on here too, so it's fully justified.
Of course, if EvE was down for an entire week (some people would explode) then it would make sense. But "stopping the timer" for downtime is just stupid. You know that EVE is 23/7, so...
(Luckily downtime hits at 6AM here ) Obviously what I say isn't always what my alliance thinks. I hate to break it to you, but this is in fact my signature.

In short, He doesn't want Down-time hours to come out of the time he pays for.

Your reimbursement: 0.50 $ Transaction fee: 3.00 $
You owe CCP: 2.50 $

You agreed to pay for the down time when you pressed the yellow link that said something about accepting the terms of use according to CCP.
At least I think you did. I wonder if anyone bothers to read em.

More seriously.
Yes you're complaining about downtime — simply saying you don't doesn't make it so.
You are also almost entirely wrong for one simple reason: you are not paying for 720 hours worth of server access — you are paying for 30 days, and that's what you get. What constitutes a "day" is defined in the EULA you accepted when creating the account. For the most part, it cold be defined as the period 12.00 GMT — 11.00 GMT ¦ extended services and early starts.
If you don't agree with this definition of a "day" then you're free to end your contract. If don't get the full set of 30 days then you might have some cause for complaint, but since you're just fussing about a couple of hours that you've agreed are irrelevant, you don't have much of an argument. ——— “If you're not willing to fight for what you have in ≡v≡… you don't deserve it, and you will lose it.” — Karath Piki |

Between work and sleep I had 14 hours of free time to do stuff over easter weekend (Friday to monday). I demand CCP refund me for the bank holiday days that I missed since it is more deserving than this little downtime today.
Or CCP can make something bad happen to the OP, this would please me too.

Yes, and CCP should refund your subscription for the time your sleeping right?

That should be cross posted to all games that have the same subscription model whenever a topic like this pops up.
I think a kitten dies somewhere whenever someone complains about paying for downtime.

I work and go to school! can i get refunded for that?
But seriously, without the 1 hour downtime every day, that would probably constitute longer downtimes at irregular intervals to fix problems as they arise. relate a 1 hour downtime to taking vitamins every morning

its not really free when the base pay per month is a bit higher then almost all other mmo's so they also recieve more income per person being subscribed.
and they mostly deliver 1 expansion disguised as 2 patch days very far apart from another

How about we charge you for the expansions instead as compensation for your lost game time. --------------

Originally by: Kaidem Downtime is minimal in my opinion compared to some other games I have played. Also we do not pay for expansions so I see it as fair trade-off.
Agreed with downtime being minimal and I personally have no probs with it, but free expansions? What do you think our subscriptions are paying for? Again no complaints, but don't be fooled in to thinking CCP are paying for the expansions out of their own pocket and then giving them to us for free.

Your skills still train. Its a well advertised downtime. All MMO's have paid DT (which is actually because of falcon), at least eve's is predictible. ??? Profit

I AM paying for each expansion with my subscription fees.
I could be wrong, but CCP staff don't work on an expansion without getting payed (perhaps a mod could confirm or deny this )

Try telling the guys at every other mmo that you have already paid for the expansions.
