EVE Online: Apocrypha 1.1 has been successfully deployed on Tranquility and we are now open for business. This patch introduces new subsystems for Tech 3 Strategic Cruisers, changes to ECM along with improvements and fixes to the skill queue, epic mission arcs, user interface and much more. For a more comprehensive list of what has been added and fixed, please check the patch notes.
We would appreciate hearing your feedback which can be posted in this thread. Please note that this is for general feedback, not issues or bugs. A separate thread for issues is available here.

thanks, how about a mirror link to the 256MB patch, the one that takes 3 hrs to download, and not to the 10 mb LOADER, that downloads in a few seconds and starts downloading the 3 hrs one ?

Since CCP started using the BT client to download patches the speed has been horrible.
I am on a 20Mbit connection and I get 11 Kb/sec - seriously guys that is not good enough.
3 Hours to download 250 MB that is crazy, either seed the patch through normal torrent trackers or do something about the speed as it is.

The sound at camera problem is still there. But of course you already knew that. The game is still silent, but you knew that also as the threads on test pointed out. What is so hard about turning on the sound? Do you guys sit around and actually talk about why active player counts have gone down since the release of Apocrypha? I guess not.

Edited by: RankOutsider on 16/04/2009 17:34:24 why can't you seed it onto torrents like you did with the last big update. I'm sitting here twiddling my thumbs waiting for two hour downloads to complete for the full download. The last big update I got off torents in 20 mins. This is really poor customer support!

I love the new tweaks to scanning!
But the spheres and probes can get a bit messy...
Examples:
All probes above the "horizon"
One probe above the "horizon"
All probes under the "horizon"

Exploration is dead now. I fail to see what dropping a few probes and hitting a scan button has to do with exploration. When i think of exploration i think of some long adventurious search to find some rare goodies in the end.
The way the system works now, you'd better rename the profession. 'Locating' seems a better name for this activity.
Offcourse i like getting stuff on a silver platter, but the old experience of exploration is gone now

I am rather dissapointed with the change to the scan probes. I find it very difficult to see the probes among all the graphics.
2 Thumbs down on that change.

CCP:
I bet if you counted out how many posts there were about the mind numbing graphics of the pos shield and how many people hated it, you would not have installed the clear cordury pant curtain effect. This is even worse.
I am looking forward to the time when the current management is changed for those that actually play the game, listen to its customer base and put out a product that isn't messed up and buggy.

Not to diminish the struggles of the folks having patching problems (I've been there!) but I want to really thank CCP for giving the option of not cleaning up the patch files after I patched my first client.
It was SO sweet when I saw the subsequent patch attempts just grab the already-downloaded patchfile and run with it. ------------------ Ironfleet.com |

Jumpdrive is terrible bugged. The gfx are horrible still. Like as if it's jumping through a gate. Why hasnt this been fixed yet.
Also the pos shields are very liney. Very um ... ewww
ECM nerf was seriously way too far. I expect a boost in oh a month or 2? ------------------------ To make a megathron from scratch, you must first invent the eve universe. ------------------------ Life sucks and then you get podded. |

ok d/l patches to multiple accounts no problems so far.
went to go check out the falcon i trained for and removed the missle launcher so it shows 3 turrets now. checked out the "recommended" and still shows for using launchers?
Now i have the grind of having to train up turrets from lvl 1 to T2 as i had no turret skills at all.
Sometimes i just h8 the skill system in eve, but a trained skill is never a bad thing imo, most have to be done at some point. Now tho i have to train up all gunnary skills b4 i can move on to what i wanted to do
Welcome to EVE

Lots and lots of very nice fixes. Compared to patch experiences of previous years, these patches have seemed to go far smoother. Well done CCP! The stealth bomber & black ops changes are great, though I suspect most people are still holding their breath for that fuel bay change...
I suppose it's just a shame that despite all those great fixes, the sound is still completely screwed up. I can even accept that it's a lower priority than fixing gameplay issues, but it would be nice if the issues that a lot of posters in various threads have brought up were at least acknowledged. The complaint about the cyno effect prompted a statement that it might be reexamined by the art department, after all... ___ My views may not represent those of my corporation, which is why I never get invited to those diplomatic parties...
