So I don't know where else to post this question and I've been unable to get a clear answer (i've gotten several conflicting ones.)
If I fleet up with someone I don't know, what risks am I running?

Once you fleet with someone, they can attack you without CONCORD intervening.

Uh... unless this has changed recently, please don't comment on game mechanics you've obviously never tested.

Well after our frigate tournament I can confirm fleeting up does not stop Concord getting annoyed if the other fleet member or members are not in your corporation.

Not true. If you're not in the same corp they cannot attack you.
Quoted from official support page: http://support.eve-online.com/Pages/KB/Article.aspx?id=166
Quote: But remember that only members of the same player corporation can shoot at each other without CONCORD interference. Being in a fleet does NOT allow you to practice combat in Empire space without a response from CONCORD. This includes attacking drones, containers, wrecks and any other property of fleet members.
In low sec, the danger of fleeting with a random person is that they may then warp to you. This means if you are in the middle of a mission they can warp directly to your location (or at the very least to the acceleration gate leading to your location) and then they may either attack you or proceed to steal your salvage.

Fleeting with someone = NO RISK AT ALL
And that's awful -----------------------------------------
Originally by: Crumplecorn Contact the CSM about it, voting themselves into disbandment wouldn't be pushing the boundaries of absurdity for them.

Not much of a risk, except when you're being chased by a war target in an interceptor and you accept a fleet invite from that interceptor just as you land on a jump gate causing you to be unable to jump through and thus being blown up. That war target was not happy with me.

Oh that's just wrong. Yet, so very right.
