Who knew there were this many smart people that aren't being spoon fed their news and information by tv!

I'm not surprised either, however I am surprised that he won by so little. Out of curiosity Valdez where do you get your news from?

Everywhere. But think about, where does the national news media get their news from? Who brings a story to their attention? it's not like the reporters just happen to be there.
Usually the best news (and most honest) is news received from the source. If nothing else get your news from any country except the US.
I have to further admit that I only pay attention to world news. Thing occurring locally carry no importance to me. |

I get all my news from government sanctioned asian news outlets myself, I find that the great leader is much more reliable than the oppressive capitalist media machine.
Seriously, do you live in the woods? US media is not the best but it is better than anything but perhaps western european news outlets.

Well the reputation of CNN and kinda ruined my general perception of "generic" US media.
I tend to stick with BBC and Bloomberg.

It makes me a happy panda, but I guess our views on what is interesting differs.
I dont think "news" is only what CNN dishes out. The news are all around us, including on the Internet. Even this post is news before you have read it.
Talking about the definition of what news are good and bad, I would go for free news every time. Not corporation/sponsor-based.
