I'm also seeing this, it's getting pretty annoying getting dropped every 15 mins or so. It looks like the guy from above.net was right tho, the packet loss is happening between these two hops.
Quote: 8: 213-152.240-250.PXu259.above.net (213.152.240.250) 59.557ms 9: 87.237.36.22 (87.237.36.22) 62.848ms
This appears to be the hop from above.net to CCP's network.

Don't know if it's relevant, but I'm on Zen as well, anyone else in this thread using this ISP?

Just done a little more digging into this, and it actually appears that the network provider with the 213 address isn't above.net but someone called Packet Exchange
Quote: % Information related to '213.152.240.0 - 213.152.240.255' inetnum: 213.152.240.0 - 213.152.240.255 netname: PacketExchange-u259 descr: PacketExchange Ltd country: GB admin-c: HP1434-RIPE tech-c: HP1434-RIPE status: ASSIGNED PA mnt-by: ABOVENET-MNT source: RIPE # Filtered
Also confirming that this is still happening and it's making it close to impossible to play. I'm just not sure who we can contact about this as it's probably not really CCP's issue. I'm also wondering if this might explain some of the socket closed errors in the 28 page thread further down the page

<3 Zen :)
In case no-one had done it already I've logged a petition with a link to this thread, hopefully we'll get a response with some information.

Fantastic, looks like I'm now not using above.net to reach CCP, and the packet loss is gone!

Thanks for the response, it's good to see CCP can sort stuff like this out quickly.

Just to say I played for around 5 hours last night without a single disconnect, fantastic job to all who helped out with this.

Originally by: Laumer Dorsai I'm in no way equipped with the know how for networking. How do I run whatever programs you all used that you posted for CCP to look at to maybe find a solution to the socket loss/dissconnect issue. I'd rather be part of the solution than just one of those who posts on the 28 page complaint topic.
The first thing to do is open a command prompt and type
Quote: ping 87.237.36.200
Note the packet loss figure, if everything is OK this should be 0%, although very occasionally you might get the odd packet dropped. If your showing a percentage for packet loss you can then try.
Quote: tracert 87.237.36.200
Post the output here and hopefully someone will be able to see where the issue lies or ask for more info.
