Bah, jaded mega-alliance sorts may not get it. But any battle where both sides field multiple capitals and some of them blow up is a pretty exhilarating experience.

QFT, I personally had a great time, and I know the others did too. This last 2 months in the united has been great fun, giving Eve a new lease of life for me.

Whats your problem..its not a fight that involves you. Why do you have to splatter crap on their good time just because it wasn't on the scale GS usually fights on. I say good on them for having a great time, and wish them many more..Its refreshing to see something that isn't about BoB, GS, AAA, PL etc.

In Lowsec: Smaller fights, individual actions/ship fits/player skill and decisions actually matter beyond the FC, we generally know who everyone we fight is; they are often former enemies or friends and will be again, one or another.
I guess that's fairly alien to any of the little cogs in the 0.0 fleet machine.

Originally by: Barth Evader TFS was roaming in cruisers in tama area, got word of Dead Terrorists camping in Hagilur with a Thanatos on gate. We came to assist The United battleship gang knowing that more caps will be involved if we engage. As our gang formed on the Thelan gate in Miro, their battleship gang landed on the other side and cyno'd in 2 carriers. Knowing the napfest they had sorted and capable of jumping in 30+ caps, we jump and the fight is on. One of their carriers goes into triage. The United jumps in a couple carriers and one dread to even it up. Up to this point this is a great fight with the triage carrier in trouble. Another cyno goes up and and hostile carriers begin jumping in. The United cyno's in 2 more carriers and a dread to even it up. 10 hostile dreads and 10 carriers are on the field. With The United moros and phoenix going into siege again the hostile triage carrier goes down. At this point the outcome is known with 20 hostile caps against 5 and equal battleship numbers.
Our gang jumped into this fight knowing the likely scenario to come. It was a good fight for the first 20 minutes until the second cyno went up. gf
From what I heard. United engaged DT with a 20 man BS fleet vs DT BS+2 Triage Carriers and got wasted. At this point United come back in some caps+support. DT s0s. We all jump in caps and pile in. DT Carrier is already in Triage when we land on grid and is tanking ok until he burns out a rep (derp). By this point there's about two dozen friendly caps on grid and 5 united caps are downed, 1 escapes. PS Barth, get your guys to unfix their sec status. My alt is now below -2.0 because he pk'd a load of TFS drones with his smarties.
Like Lark said, your facts are seriously wrong. Larf was tanking the 4 carriers, 2 dreads and support quite nice, in no small part due to your allies' ineptitude at fitting dreads - not talking mags here :). As for the bait, it wasn't a bait. Just check Mister evil's lossmail, just a few dreads but mostly carriers, ppl trickled in and for a while the entire fight was in danger because after larf, the next primary was Lark, which was in optimal of the Moros, and which was constantly losing/gaining 20% armor.

Originally by: RedSplat Sounds like the united/TFS were successfully baited and eliminated.
Unlike you pussies we knew what was going to happen and jumped in for the fight anyway. We don't need to pad ourselves up and hide behind our safety blankets at station to play the game with adrenalin rushing as it should be.
It was a great fight and well worth engaging in. Just because Heretic's wont enter any engagement unless they outnumber/out ewar and are guaranteed of killing 50 frigates and 300 defenseless pods, doesn't mean TFS and The United are afraid to give it a good hard go for the sake of a decent fight. We had an opportunity to pull off that gate and go home long before we threw caution to the wind and decided "wtf lets just do it for a fight".
You could learn something from this if you had done more than just gank noobs on a gate all day. There's no glory in having your most used ship on your kill boards a Heavy Interdictor (obvious gate campers)
TFS were in t1 cruisers as we were out on a roam. They were still effective and tend to have more dps with how well trained our chars are than most of Heretic's BS pilots. So there was nothing lacking on our side.

Up untill now when i rechecked the KB's, i haven't even noticed that you guys were in that fight, and i was there in a carrier ...
PS: Come to think of it i did saw a non-bleh Guardian, was that from your 'fleet' ? --- I smack just for myself.

That was sarcasm btw. ;o United KB didn't update with API when I checked, so I checked TFS killboard and only saw a single carrier kill. What I orginaly posted was a link to united main KB page showing only 1 carrier killed and said "Looks like an epic battle took place." Then their KB started updating and I edited my post, I just didn't bother removing my sarcastic comment though.
But it was a pretty big battle for lowsec standards. I would have posted it in C&P though since CAOD is serious buisness.

Not much of note survived tbh, 2 Ion Siege Blasters and a Capital Rep were the only things worth a mention. Sorry to say the faction stuff popped.
