Amarr ships are good. If you want the quickest path to a good solid range of Amarr ships of every size, try this ship path: Punisher -> Omen/Maller -> Harbinger -> Armageddon They are all very respectable in PVP and PVE, relatively affordable, and all focus on the same core skills - lasers, armor and capacitor skills.

Amarr have arguably the best solo pvp ship/s in the game (curse/pilgrim).
A fantastic battle cruiser for gang combat (harbinger).
All their BS are great and the best or in the top 2 in the most common forms of pvp for that class also.

If you fly Amarr in pvp you win Eve...anyway Amarr bs have awsome buffer tanks and great mid-range damage. Just remember to train your cap skills and ALWAYS fit a mwd and cap booster.

Cap-booster sure, MWD is debatable. Capitalistic Tendencies is recruiting. |

No.
MWD is more or less mandatory, on any ship.
More so on Amarr where you should use one to keep the medium range Amarr excels at.

What about the Amarr gives them an advantage?
Also for the Amarr, how does their Field Command Ship Absolution handle itself in a solo or small group environment?
Could the Amarr Command Ships take out the other Amarr Assault and Heavy Assault Ships baring both pilots are pretty well even matched in skill points and player skill?

CS and HACs have different roles. a Zealot can't really go toe-to-toe with an Abso, but it can do things an Abso can't possibly do (eg: drive-by sniper HAC attack)

Cap booster is debatable. Some ships are cap stable for long enough with everything you'll be running for a long time without a cap booster, EG the Zealot.
MWD is not debatable. Pulse laser ships live and die by their range by staying out of range where blasters ACs can outdamage them, either by staying at the edge of web range with multifreq or well out of it with scorch. Also, Amarr ships need a MWD for burning back to gate / into point range / out of point range / out of bubbles just as everything else does, imho. __________________________________
