Tentonhammer has its collective head up its fundamental orifice for thinking that article is worth re-publishing as a feature. also, scamming takes 100x less time than mission running, or ratting for a comparable amount of isk. I know of very few other ways to make 10b+ in less than an hour 
No, I don't know who "mittens" is. What difference does it make? If he's some Goonswarm god at this point, it still doesn't change the fact that he was such a needy individual with no creativity that he couldn't handle solo playing.
He couldn't even comprehend as a noob other ways of making Isk other than mining. So he quit.
He obviously needed to be a part of a corporation to hold his hand as a noob to make sure he was getting his instant gratification needs met.
He may now be the baddest FC and Corporate Maestro in Eve for all I know. The fact remains he couldn't hack Eve without joining a corporation, and rationalizes his reprehensible behavior by claiming the noob experience drives you to scamming because its so boring and slow.
I still contend the tone and general advice in the article for newer players is rubbish, and only applies to the twisted view of his own experience.

Seriously, folks, if you play EVE and you write about it in public, what you write is (or should be) propaganda. Otherwise you're wasting your time and not doing it right.
