Arud	Posted - 2004.08.29 21:19:00 - [31] love this idea, maybe it could be placed around the sun, maybe a whole ring around the sun like they plan on doing with shiva, only using asteroids. The explination would be that the suns gravity is pulling all the wreckage in the system around itself.

Somewhere near the sun, maybe a few AU off. As you notice, the sun is like 30 AU from all the gates or so. So is said.

I dunno what kind of lag it would cause if weren't at a gate. But if it does cause lag then I also don't think it would be practical, not in U-Q, or anywhere else in the corridor for that matter.
