Edited by: Dentali on 29/08/2004 19:22:18 We all know that U-QVWD is the main battlefield for fleets of both the Curse Alliance and the Stain Alliance. Everyday approximately 25+ ships are destroyed in this system. Infact, on some days the player count in this system can reach up to 150 people in both fleets. What I would like to see happen in U-QVWD is a visual graveyard for ships, a beacon like the Gothgolan Fields.
Curse Alliance and Stain Alliance have fought since game origin for dominiation over this region. In 3 months alone over 200 battleships are collectively destroyed in this system.
This graveyard cannot be biased toward either side. It cannot have SA or CA flags hanging somewhere or anything like that. But perhaps something like having half destroyed armaggedons and megathrons (the megathrons from 2 little prong things for example), anything that can show that they were indeed battleships. Then you add in a few pieces of debris and some NPC's that loot these debris and the description can be something as follows:
"For years the Curse Alliance and Stain Alliance have fought gloriously for control of this system. Here lies the remains, and spirits, of those that lost their vessels. This area is known to be cursed by the damned that once piloted these masses. No one knows why the debris of these ships have been pulled here, some say gravity, some say the very pilots souls themselves, but anyone who approaches this area can see and tell the carnage that has happened in this place."
I think it would be great, but this would have to be a massive field and sight never before seen in the likes of EVE. What do you think?
I think it would be a great addition for the pilots of the Curse Alliance and Stain Alliance, as not only will they then fight over control of the system, but they will also fight over the graveyard and the right to protect their ancestors souls from that of evil.
The northern alliances are also in fights daily, perhaps they could get their own monument or graveyard like this as well. Just an idea that I myself would love to see!
Questions? Comments? Suggestions? So is said. |

Great idea!
Just because something is fixed doesn't mean you can't break it

It's a nice idea but impractical atm.
Anything in the system that will create more lag when jumping into a 40+ fleet is not going to be welcome.
But as I said, nice idea anyway. Maybe when the lag is sorted out it could be implemented.

I agree. If it could be done without screwing up that system even more, then I love the whole thing. It adds a badly needed does of story to the game. Little stuff like this goes a long way, CCP. _____ CLS Civil Affairs Bureau

Maybe some marker can be put down to commemorate the fallen in heavily fought over regions orbiting one of the planets in the area.
That would be effective and not laggy.
Wreckage while nice, is a lag issue as has been said.

Edited by: Meridius on 29/08/2004 20:53:17 Love the idea if it doesn't come with lag. If so they should put wrecks/beacons in hed-gp, a2-v27, b-vip ect.
The largest wreck should remain in u-q though, remember that huge battle w/190 people in local or something. Largest battle in eve, it should be noted
It would be a nice warning to noobs as well ________________________________________________________

Me and Dentali Discussed this in U-q local earlier tonight
If the debris is put at a planet or a moon then I dont see how its gonna be a lag factor really

Or perhaps just a POI in the middle of nowhere. A note can be placed that this is the graveyard where destroyed ship hulls were tractored to as a result of severe energy leaks interfering with stargate activity.
Or something
