Unfortunately, yes you guys are and many of you under the goon banner have no idea how complex and sophisticated of an operation it has grown into. At least portions of 'you guys', and I use the term loosely since portions of Goons often operate like a weird collection of contractors and sub-contractors working towards a common goal of building something, anything really, have instances where one whole wing has no idea what the other wings are doing outside of they happen to be in the same alliance. Then there are portions of the alliance that do operate in the strictest sense of what you would imagine a military/industrial corporation does.
There is the goon face that everyone all knows and hates. These members operate often of their own accord and often have no idea what the upper echelon of goons do outside of "They provide the ships and resources for me to enjoy my greifing career". These folks often include the scammers we've come to know and hate, many of which have graced our presence here in the forums.
Then there are other facets that operate as said before, as a loose collection of contractors and sub contractors working towards a common building goal. These are the capital wings, production ends, and industrial corps that fly under the goon banner and often have no relationship to the goon face we know, again outside of happen to being under their banner.
And finally there is the more sinister portion of goons. The ones who run the show, the ones in the know, and the ones who pull this whole mess together. These are the folks we never see and really we never will. Obscured by many alts, accounts, etc... most of the time you'll only ever see who 'they' are by occasional posts on the various forums other than the EVEO ones.
But Im sure some of you goons will argue with me that this isnt the case, and its okay we'll just have to agree to disagree cause to be perfectly frank. Most of you really have no idea how deep the rabbit hole goes.

its an organization of over 5000... theres bound to be at least one or two smart ones at the bottom of that rabbit hole, forum **** posters or not.

I know my comments came off somewhat sinister sounding, it wasn't the intent really. Liken goons to a flock of birds. All of them are in the same group but only because they happen to be flying in the same direction. At any time, more may join, some may split off, or hell all may split off only to reform at a later point.
Sorta like the internet meme Anonymous, only slightly more dysfunctional and less destructive. |

Follow the threads back to where the Anonymous meme started and then follow the origins of that place and then you will start to see the true recursive nature of the rabbit hole...
