I think I speak for everyone when I say that the most important and vital change CCP must do to Eve is to fix the absolutely shocking insult that is made to Fenris, the nordic mythical wolf of awesomeness.
Fenris is the name of a giant wolf, son of the god Loki, who during Ragnarok (Nordic apocalypse for the heathens ignorant in Nordic myths) kills Odin and lives on a diet of gods' hands. Fenris' sons eat the sun and the moon during said Ragnarok.

Fenris is one of the most terrifying beast in mythology and in eve it's the name of a .... freighter....
It is of utmost importance that this shameful naming be corrected!
So what new name I propose for the Minmatar freighter?
Naglfar!
Naglfar (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Naglfar), in nordic mythology is the name of a ship made entirely from the fingernails and toenails of the dead. I know, I know, it actually does fit the nowadays dreadnaught very well seeing how worthless that dread is nowadays but I think that the name of a ship bringing troops to the end of times fits a freighter better than a dreadnaught.
The Minmatar dreadnaught, after being thoroughly overpowered by CCP, should be renamed Fenris (it eats gods for breakfast, it has to be overpowered).
And for the love of Loki, ccp, don't dare switch the name before boosting the minmatar dreadnaught, lest Fenris get so ****ed off by the insult that he breaks loose and uses your island as a toothpick to get rid of the last bits of Odin stuck between his teeths!
Pretty sad when a Swiss has to point out such an outragious insult to Nordic myths to Icelandic people

I would suggest Sleipnir, not Naglfar. But the general consensus is Yeah. Fenrir shouldnt be a freighter.

A freighter is LARGE at least, take some solace in that. Could have been worse <rookie ship>.
On a similar topic, what's up with the name "Vargur" (the minmatar marauder)? Can't find any info on that name~

From what I recall after asking around back when they got introduced is that Vargur means "outlaw" in icelandic.

A Vargur is a wolf, often reserved for a man-eating wolf...though the name has been used for men with connotations to wolves, i.e. murderous criminals. |

Course if you DO start the proposal... it better be bloody true.
Sorry to say.... while the names are pretty much as the OP stated... I wholly think this is a waste of time.

I'm not completely against it... but I think there are far more important things to worry about. |

No support, CCP has bigger issues to worry about then "epic names on wrong ships". I see no reason to change them. And if we do start changing names, there are "tons" of "epic names" that are on the wrong ships. But you don't see me crying about it.
Oh and btw, don't try and speak for everyone.
