Several days ago Denmoth Ferdier sought a loan for 200m, to serve as financing for an alt corporation on the forums. The terms he sought were 200m for 14 days, with a 12.5% interest rate-- a total repayment of 225m.
As collateral for the loan my alt (AlaMaLacha) took full CEO control of a corporation that had POSs, and removed all role that would allow anyone to modify the POS.
From what I understand this was Denmoth Ferdier's first venture into loan territory. The agreement was easily made, and the terms were easily agreed to.
Denmoth Ferdier paid me back in full with interest within 3 days, fully 11 days ahead of schedule. At which point I returned CEO to the proper alt.
All in all, dealing with Denmoth Ferdier was a positive experience, and I would do so again if proper collateral were in place. He was looking forward to using this business opportunity to start building a forum reputation, and I believe he is on track to do that.
I monitored corp chat, recruiting activities, etc while I held CEO role. Dennmoth is dedicated to expanding the corp, and is working hard to achieve that goal. I expect similar success from his future ventures.
TL;DR Version-- Reliable, and I will invest again provided with the opportunity.

Was a positive and painless experience. Was nice doing this type of business for the first time, and I will hope to find the need to do something like this again in the future.

I find it best to also link to the original thread. Gives people a way to review what occurred and how it may have happened. Of course I think that in the original thread there was no mentioning of any kind security process. This would explain the slightly negative response the original thread received. I'm glad that a security process was instituted and that both of you are happy at the end of this encounter. |

Nice to see that it worked out. Also nice to see creative use of non-obvious asset (the corp).
