Philip Stark	Posted - 2009.04.23 23:21:00 - [1] Ok loged in for the first time in a while and lo and behold theres a Nyx in Danera a 0.6 sec system. Now someone please tell me how you get a mothership into high sec?
Astigmatic	Posted - 2009.04.23 23:25:00 - [2] Maybe it was in there before the great "capital's aren't allowed in high sec" ban that allows Chribba's veldnaught in there? This will be a deeply unpopular view but really I think that all should be shifted out, although the restrictions on them are quite severe and so far the pilots keep to them so maybe I'm wrong.
Philip Stark	Posted - 2009.04.23 23:28:00 - [3] I can understand how a Dread or Carrier can be in a high sec system, ie building them before the can only built in a low sec station was made, but i thought all super caps were only able to be built by factories in low sec period, and now you have to have a specific Sov before you can even install the needed facilities to build them.

They cannot use them in high sec, so its nice to have them there for epeen, and for newbies to see the huge ships occasionally.

Philip Stark	Posted - 2009.04.23 23:35:00 - [8] WHs werent supposed to let Supercaps ie Moms and Titans through. I have no idea how this Mothership got into Dan, the only other guess is CCP reimbursed someone and they put it in Dan by mistake.

There are two ways a MS ends up in high-sec, 1) Reimbursment or 2) GM move. If a pilot gets reimbursed and the GM who does it doesn't check the station they are putting it in -> or when a player is stuck or for any other reason gets moved and the GM doesn't check -> They usually take care of the errorus event pretty fast though, but it indeed is a lovely sight seeing a MS in high-sec, wish I could have been there for a few minutes roaming next to it. Too often. The last time I logged off my Nyx it was in a low-sec system in a safe spot. Im meticulous about where I log off my super caps. I either wait for DT while cloaked or use an alt to make sure the ship warps off after logging off in an empty system. The ship had been logged off that time in an empty system other than my two alts, one of which I used to watch the MS till it disappeared. When I logged back in the next time and saw the character selection screen that said I was docked in a hi-sec system (not at my clone station) I thought of the interesting petition that some GM was about to receive. My initial thoughts were that I had somehow been podkilled. After selecting the MS toon and getting into the game I discovered the ship was, in fact, docked in a station in Danera which is a .6 system. Cynos cannot be made in any system .5 to 1.0 and MS's cant be built in a sytem that isnt held by an alliance possessing sovereignty meaning the same 'feature' that allows some dreads to inhabit empire space would not apply to motherships or titans. In local I jokingly asked for a cyno and some kind soul actually volunteered to spark one off for me...oblivious to the fact it wasnt possible. I sat in the station for a bit...repairing some damaged drones, spinning around the ship, taking screen shots to show my alliance mates that lack faith in my sincerity, and spanking my willy to the pron of a docked super-capital. I also re-fitted to a more hi-sec appropriate fittment. When I finally undocked some guy in a caracal had undocked at the same time but didnt say a word. I tried to redock but was cordially informed the ship I had just undocked was too big to dock. Seems someone didnt get the memo. I spent the next hour or so flying to gates, ratting, and mining the only roid in the system...a nearly empty veld roid. 25 harvesters rock. No pun intended. When I attempted to use gates I was informed I was too big to fit no matter how much KY jelly I used or how hard I pushed. The local population ranged from 40 to about 55 and about a dozen ships 'saw' me on gates, stations, and belts yet no one said a word about the oddity of a MS in a hi-sec system until I started yapping in local. Eventually a few players caught on and some ships did the touristy thing...flew around it...took screen shots...etc...then I went back to warping between belts, stations, and gates doing a bit of ratting till it became utterly boring. The novelty of a MS in hi-sec wears off quickly. 25 fighters vs .6 rats is about as much of a challenge as robbing a blind wheelchair bound deaf mute ****** of his lunch money. Not that I would admit to knowing this. I didnt shoot or lock any players' ships' and I had no desire to do so. Eventually I was parked somewhere off an empty moon moving junk around between my corp hanger and cargo bay and all of a sudden the system changed to a CVA-sovereign system with the number (3) showing in local but only two avatars showing in the channel. I was wondering if a GM is able to be in a system without showing in local. I never saw any avatars in Danera local that had GM or CCP attached to their name nor had any colored text and no GMs/devs sent me any mails or convos. I have no idea how my ship wound up in hi-sec and I didnt do anything to cause it. It wasnt through a wormhole. If a GM or dev would care to comment on this travesty of nature Im sure the info would be appreciated. And to whomever ratted me out via a petition to the GMs: I heartily offer my best wishes for your tonsils being repeatedly pummeled by the jackhammers-of-love from a gang of hairy hells angels while your southernmost orifice is violated by the business end of a weed wacker.
