Edited by: Odesa Kaine on 24/04/2009 09:25:37 Hello :) 1st time posting and still very new to Eve.I had a few questions if someone has a moment to spare. I rolled Caldari when it mattered what race you picked. I only played for a few months then deactivated my account. I have just recently reactivated my account and now I'm kind of at a loss. After a little research I decided I wanted to pvp in Amarr ships, however I am not sure what skills I should be training or what type of pvp I even want to engage in. One thing I do know for sure is that I want to be efficient at solo pvp.
I am at 2.9 million in skill points and have : 20int/19per/7car/17wil/16 mem/. I'm very patient so I don't mind maxing learning if thats suggested
So my question is this. is it bad to switch to Amarr ships being so deep into shield systems as Caldari?
What attributes and skills should I be focusing on in order to fly Amarr ships.
I am sorry if I missed any details I am still extremely new and this is all still french to me. Thank you again in advance.

My suggestion, train basic learning to 5 and advanced to 4.
And to train armor skills for Amarr aint any hazzle at all. You just need to train hull upgrades and repair systems to 4 at first and you can use most of the T2 stuff. Obv train em to 5 later.
Also train energy management and energy system operation to 4 and later to 5. Amarr usually need alot of cap so therefor you train the cap skills.
Then, dependent on which size of ship you want to fly just train for that and focus on it. You prob might want to try out the curse or the pilgrim for some solo Drone action. Or maybe you want to fly a Sacrilege and you need to train missiles(which you prob already have done).
Anyways, when you know what you want to train for the next year put the plan into evemon. Then calculate what attributes you need for the fastest training time and remap. Be aware, many of the skills you need might have faster training time with your current attribute setup, so you obviously want to train thoose before you remap to the "optimal".

Edited by: Odesa Kaine on 25/04/2009 09:24:55 Sorry for the late reply. Thank you! I did some research myself and since I can jump into an amarr destroyer atm I started training small energy turrets, however I will jump on your plan asap. One other question. If you have 4 high slots but only 2 Turret hardpoints, does that mean you can only equip 2 guns?

Before you train any skill, focus on your learning skills. Then focus on your navigation skills because you have Int and Per as your primary. Get all navigation skills to 3, Afterburner to 4, and Navigation to 5. Don't train any Cap skills in navigation if you don't plan on cap.
Navigation is key in pvp - no matter what ship, it will help you.
