I was attacked and killed by a player named Hawkes20, though indications are that the account is being hacked. I was in 1.0 space, in almost every situation I have seen, Concord shows up within seconds of the first shot being fired and attacks the offending player. But this time Concord did not show up, for over a few minutes. I want to know what kind of cheat or exploit was used to allow that. I did not steal from or attack Hawkes20 in any manner, I was just mining. Why did Concord not come to my assistance in 1.0 space?

Well, you can't.

Did he flip your can? IE... Jettisoned his own can and placed your ore in it - therefore making you think that was still your can, so when you took the ore from it - you were effectively stealing from his can, thus giving him the rights to shoot you...
Either that or you're war-decced?

LOL
Based on the OPs forum ability I guess we know why he did it!
And BTW, do you really need two threads to discuss this topic?
Cheers, Arrs

looks like he not only stumbled on the learning curve, but tumbled backwards and cracked his head open on it.

It's really obnoxious that someone who is clearly very new to the game and obviously not that well read with regard to all of the game's mechanics and rules believes they are in a position to just declare something a cheat/exploit.
There are a couple of ways to safely attack someone in high security without concord getting involved. A few of them: -Be in the same corp as them. -They've committed a crime against you (e.g., looted one of your cans or wrecks). -Be in a corp that has declared war on their corp. --------------- Faction-Militia:Player-Alliance::Newbie-corp:Player-corp |

I've always said joining player corps too soon was a bad idea. And this is another reason why.

Other way around. You have to commit a crime against them in order for them to shoot you. Pirates would LOVE it if all they had to do was steal someone's can in order to get CONCORD's permission to attack.
There's also another way: If you attack and kill someone in empire and they don't fight back at all (no hostile actions against you through out the entire engagements), they will receive "kill rights". You can then kill them ONCE within the next 30 days without CONCORD intervention.
