Seriously: I too think that people would do L3 or stop. I wouldn't mind if the entire mission system would be redone, perhaps so that it is actually useful to be in a gang of humans, instead of a gang with your salvage-alt.
In the meantime - boost Low-Sec/0.0 rewards. Not just LP, more money. Perhaps even show a sec-status multipler, so it's obvious you're getting more for doing it in dangerous systems? |

No, most mission runners would just farm L3s instead.
That would be fine as the profits in high sec would drop.
The main objection to mission running seems to be the lack of risk-vs-reward and the lack of player-player-competition.
Yes and one half of risk-reward is the reward. You get less isk/time doing lvl 3's than lvl 4's. The risk from npc's is nonexistant in both cases, and you get about the same nonexistant risk from other players. If you want to introduce more competition you need more drastic changes to the mission system, like limited amount of missions available, rewards only in salvage/lp etc. And yea this is my sig. Real PVP'ers only use f1. |

That would actually only saciate the whiners and haters for maybe 6 to 12 months. Then it'd be back to the boards to whine on how hi sec level 3 missions are too profitable and riskless and how they need to be nerfed.

Yes, move the L4's to low sec. I don't mind if carebears will farm L3's instead.

Stick all the high-quality agents in low-sec but increase the spread of the agents. For example, Material Acquisition have their headquarters in elore which has a single L1 agent., but in babrimoult a few jumps away there are 4 L4 quality 20 agents in one station.....
Who f*cking came up with that? What do they use to spread butter on their bread? A bloody paintbrush?

ITT, people who insist upon the good 'Ole Massively Singleplayer Experience.
"Please, please don't nerf my isk printing press"
"RISK? OMG! in EVE? NO WAI, TEAMWORK?!? What's that?"
Also lol@Nullsec being safer than highsec and the people who want even more space to safehug.
The troll from the person in huzzah federation was pretty good, but no one bit =(
But let's be real, CCP already painted themselves into a corner when they introduced level 4s in high sec, and then proceeded to nerf their difficulty. They aren't going to revise in any other way than to provide more chaff for the hordes to chew, so they can run around in their shiny mission ships and enjoy the EVE EXPERIENCE (lol).
A solution to actually try and fix that stupid system would be to revise it so it's similar to the FW mission system (sans having to travel 10 flipping jumps). You know, having actual players interact and compete AGAINST one another. Maybe all of those mission running corps would be good for something other than whineposts when they get wardecced by an empire war corp.
P.S. finals suck, nerf that please.

<stupid carebear ideas here> How about removing Concord effect from mission deadspace (due to some anomaly or whatever) so mission runners can be attacked in highsec? Add (hostile?) player limit to mish dspace to avoid getting blobbed on your spare time and/or make missions doable with pvp fittings to make fighting back viable? *shrug* just some random/silly thoughts.

For whatever reason that tickled my funnybone :D
Anyhoo.. How about making pvp fits more viable for low-sec missions somehow? To give pve'rs a fighting chance when jumped? And some kind of sleeper AI deal to make some rats focus on the pirate? Or would we then get pirate ragequit posts?
Edit: meh, changed posting character.. Well, the name is still similar, so *shrug*

If you're looking for tears why wait for the future when you have whiners begging CCP to send them carebears to lo sec now.
Oh I forgot... Your own tears don't fuel your spaceship.

Ok so lets see CCP gives you FW so you can have more low sec (but thats too hard because you have fight gangs) then CCP gives you WH but thats not good enough. Pirates are only happy when they can gank a new player who busy fighting npcs in an unfair fight.

You don't have to be a pirate to take part and enjoy PvP, and there's a very distinct difference between a pirate and a ganker. The two are NOT the same thing.
No more than being an 'industrialist' automatically makes you a 'carebear' who will do everything under his power to avoid having to defend himself.
Industrialists exist in all parts of EvE, and often take part in PvP or at least don't shirk from it (getting your hulk out of the way of an incoming gang is just playing smart, not being a carebear). Pirates also exist in all parts of EvE, and make a profession out of stealing, theiving, lying, scamming, and generally wrecking your ship or ransoming you.
Industrialist =/= Carebear Pirate =/= Ganker EvE = Everyone versus Everyone

Nerfing level 4 missions may not be such a bad idea. It may encourage more participation in wormholes.

No. It would encourage more participation in level 3 missions. They may be easier, but you can do several of them in the same time frame which counter-balances their suckyness pretty nicely. Just bring in a battleship with good skills and most of them last only 5 minutes.
