This helps preserve the identity of the individual player (as they originally intended) in addition to prevent blatent character assassination or exploits. Whether they will do it or not? A duel will solve nothing other than the fact that one person will lose a ship and most likely implants. Your post (and intent) can be summed up in one line, which you wrote by the way.
