Next to nobody does ninja looting for profit, and very few do ninja salvaging for profit. They usually want you to shoot them so they can shoot you back. In general, PvP in which you don't have any ace up your sleeve (such as using your mission boat that he's been staring at for minutes) will end badly for you.
