Dear Pod Pilots,
Today in U3K-4A a battle of almost epic proportions found place.
CoW informed us that a POS of them will come out of reinforced at around 20.00 Eve time and that Republic Alliance will try to get it down with their Cap fleet. So we formed up our fleets and made a reality check if we have an actual chance of killing them.
=> Yes, we did!
Quietness on TS. First words of them forming up at the POS came in. Only Caldari Dreads and a few carriers sieging the POS not in Siege mode (WTF?). I think that they tried to test if CoW were going for those and try to lure them into the trap by dropping more caps on them. After a short while (which felt like an eternity) they brought in all their capitals and started sieging the POS still without going into siege mode (hmmm...). Very well then!
We formulated a quick plan (as easy as they come). Drop the Bubbles on them, open the cyno, and there we go. Word of dropped bubbles on them spread in ts and the cyno going up soon. Heartbeat starts rising even for such old folks in eve we are.
=> Cyno is up!! JUMP! <=
Alright, here it comes. The rush of blood to the head.
Jumping in went smooth. Dropping the fighters, dreads went into siege and here we go: Primary target: Captain Bluebeard! (poor fella) Secondary Target: Corniz!
TS went dead. Only the sonor voice of our FC came through predicting the death for the next 2 pod pilots. While we were chewing through the enemy Capital fleet we got word that a Fleet (around 100) of TCF will show up to join the party. We thought: Hmmm... Who are they gonna shoot? us? them? Very well, guys! Bring it. We just didn't care. We wanted those big shiny ships to blow up.
The engagement started at 20.18 eve time and ended around 21.20 eve time. The time went by like nothing good. Dread after Dread exploded and left a dull pile of scrap metal behind. Once we terminated all their dreads, we switched to the carriers. A few interpreted the signs very well by hitting the red jump button and brought themselves to safety. Most were hung out to dry in the bubbles we put up. After 1 hour of pure wrath given back and forth between the attending capital ships, the overview was clear.
Someone is taking damage? How ... I thought the overview is clear? ahhhhhh.... TCF! Swapping overview ... Here they are. After 2 more engagements where we warpped into their sniper spots, killing a few we decided to return to safety. You never know if there's another Capital Ship fleet around the corner when engaging them since they got tons of friends.
Calming down in the safety of a station while having a good Quafe and some smokes, the battle report forms up. What did we lose? What did we kill?
Here are the numbers for the statistic junkies:
Numbers they brought up (approximately):
29 Dreads (29 died)
12 Carriers (7 died)
a small support fleet (I don't actually have any numers on that one) (a good amount died)
Numbers we put up:
27 Dreads (6 died)
32 Carriers (1 died)
a small support fleet (around 30ish?)
After finishing this report I want to thank Cult of War for giving us this opportunity to have lotsa fun and pew pew! You did an awesome job!

my report then
long story short.
.EE got its first titan on tuesday and to unveil it we planned a little op for friday.
our first plan was to get ourselves to dreads and RR BS and jump into m-m and first whipe out the sub capitals and then their carriers that they used as logistics.
but it wasnt to be. First they had a op planned and they managed to get over 20 capitals to their m-m pos. we had to stand down for a moment and organize some help.
heres how krautbreak fits in. Putukas contacted them and asked for capital support. as sera and .ee are long friends they agreed. and the plan was set in motion.
but it wasnt flawless. first we screwed up the pos timing and official op was called 1h later then our pos came out. hence the delays today(saturday).
Republic gathered its fleet to their friendly pos in m-m and got together around 30 capitals. Krautbreak promised us 30 capitals. and we got 24 of our own.
Republic jumped into u3k and gathered some additional capitals to their pos in u3k. totaling little over 40 with a MS.
pos came out, BUT they didnt start to engage it right from the start, instead they waited for like 30 minutes. that gave us the chance to get more caps as we had timed to pos wrong anyway.
then we noticed that all our FC's are in capitals and theres noone to lead our BS, hence why lord peetri did it.
we managed to get some dictors to u3k and some dictors to our carriers and our plan was set.
dictors bubbled their fleet and kept getting new dictors. while all alliances jumped into u3k. sadly their MS warped out first.
we had noticed the TCF pilot in the local. about 5 minutes into the fight TCF bridged in about 100 man fleet most of them BS and warped to 150km from us, but thankefully started to shoot republic also.
titan warped in and doomstayd, sadly TCF was aligned and we only managed to kill few of them. but lot of republic was in bubbles and they died. we got 2 pages worth of killmails from that DD. nice unveiling indeed.
with 4 cycles of stront we managed to kill off all their caps and now tried to get rid of the TCF who was shooting our wrecks. we had a cov ops move behind them for couple of times.
but again we made a mistake and just as our titan got hes DD "reloaded" our last dictor pilot decided to commit suicide.
about that time XIX jumped in through the gate with a crap fleet and started to engage us.
this gave us a little break. We also got intel that Pandemic Legion(PL) is getting hes capitals in range and would hotdrop us in couple of minutes, so we had to evacuate. pos gunners shot the wrecks so noone could get em and pos died soon after we had shot the last wreck.
so, a nice 3-way. we vs republic & friends vs tcf/pl/xix

It was my 1st fight after a lil break. It was awesome those dreads melt like a snow in hot water. Too bad we couldnt loot and salvage those wrecks. Once we realized that our POS is goin down, our pos gunners nuked every single capital wreck on the field - so no loot for enemys.

Ya was an awesome fight ;)
Though it might have looked that way at first it really wasn't a 3 way. Also numbers wise RE-AL, TCF, and TR had way more people then us, but we had much more caps and a strategic advantage with their capitals locked down and an Avatar to DD and give us a cap bonus.
In the end I think the sides where
Round 1:
RE-AL, TCF, TR vs CoW, Kraut
Round 2:
TCF, PL, XIX vs CoW, Kraut
So all in all
TCF, PL, XIX, RE-AL, TR vs CoW, Kraut
This was a Major victory for CoW & Kraut, but the enemies did manage to kill the tower which was a strategic victory of sorts for them. Unfortunately killing that tower had minimal strategic value without killing all the others in the system, and it came at a heavy cost. CoW and Kraut take from this much of the loot, and dealt a painful blow to the RE-AL & TR Capital Fleet.
We all win and loose battles, this one I would day was our Day. GREAT FIGHT! I look forward to the next round!

Gratz to the awsome fight we had today.
Yes we got hit right into the balls today. But the adrenaline was pushing to the limit for us all when the Kraut's joined the field, and TCF right after that.
It all went even more confusing when TCF joined the fleet and started shooting at everybody. At this point nobody knew what
would happen next. In the end TCF brought their Caps on the field and finished one of the COW Pos'S.
Pandemic Legion, Legion of XXXdeath and Shadows of XX as well as Rebellion Alliance came for a little visit.
All in all the our alliance lost 30 caps with some more of
the friendly allis.
We had 27 Dreads and 13 Carriers.
4 Carriers and the mothership were able to jump to safety.
1st round is for you, although we're quite sure the story
might have turned our ways, if the Kraut's would not have joined the COW forces.
Just a note : TCF was not on our side :)
Thanks for this adrenaline pushing fight, we'll see you on the field.

Battlereport Republic point of view
A large COW tower in u3k was coming out of reinforced, we where forming up in m-m with a 130 man fleet, aprox 40 capitals rest support fleet, we cynoed into u3k to recap, and wait for the tower to come out. We noticed there was pos gunners at the pos and that there was a chimera there, obviously i believed the chimera was there to rep the pos shield after it came out of reinforced.
We wasnt sure if cow would defend the tower at all, we had a scout watching the eo2 station obviously, COW had aprox 60 in local, but no activity of significant was reportet.
I sent all the phoenixes with the chimeras to the pos to see if there was any respons in eo2, after awhile there was still no activity of significant reported, so i called in the rest of the capitals to the pos, still ordered them to stay out of siege in a last check to see if they where gonna do anything and cynoing in dreads at sniping range on us. after i took the rest of our capitals to the tower i got report of 25 COWS undocking in eo2, so i sent a scout to Uanzin to see if there was any activity there, the report came back only 6 in local.
Obviously there is alot of places they can hide a cap fleet in jump range of u3k and we cant guess our self to death whatever a hostile counterdrop will occure or not.
We then noticed a rapier uncloaked 174km off our position, and that the chimera warped to it, so i ordered all my capitals to align towards that rapier i was surtent they was gonna drop the cyno 174km out and drop in caps at sniping range, this didnt happen. Instead the chimera warped back and drop the cyno 20km off our capitals and over 50 hostile capitals jumped in.
We quickly reviewed the situation and noticed the dread count was pretty equal, alltoght they outnumbered us 2 to 1 in carrier support, we where bubbled on the tower obviously so we had to commit to the fight, i called in all the support fleet on the OK-6 gate to compensate for the lack of friendly carriers compared to the hostile fleet, and help out with the DPS on the hostile dreads, ordering all support to fire on the primary target aswell.
however shortly after the support fleet arrived to help out a new cyno popped up, and COW cynoed in their brand new Titan, wich Doomsdayed my support fleet and my 11 carriers fighters and all the drones, causing us to lose vital DPS.
So after the DD we had lost a alot of DPS and faced equal number of hostile dreads but with only half the carriers with no fighters. After the first siege cycle, it became more and more difficult sinking the enemy dreads, due to the fact they went out of siege and got remote repped by overwhelming carrier support. Obviously we did the same, but with ony half the carrier fleet, we couldnt keep up alltought my naglfar took 2,7 mill damage.
To make things even worce TCF jumped in with aprox 100 Battleship and joined the fight, firing mainly on our forces, at that time the battle was obviously FUBAR but since we where bubbled to kingdom come, we had no other choise to see it throught.
im glad that the mothership managed to get out tho.
In the end of the day we lost big time, but im pleased to see we can field just as big gangs and just as many capitals as we could in FDN so im not worried about our future in GW, ships can be replaced.
But well executed plan from COW, and a small confort to see that PL cynoed in a crap load of capitals finnishing off the tower and prevent them from getting any loot.
It was a rather bizzar night tho, looked like all the allianses in EvE knew what was gonna happened in u3k that night :P allianses that normally wouldnt care to fart in GW general direction, all of a sudden had major cap fleet in jump range ready to jump in. Need ot check if someone posted the op on CAOD or something :P
But as i said well done to COW and their friend, you won a battle but you have far from won GW. the year of 2009, should get interesting in GW.

Quick TCF point of view :
We heard about a great fight in UK3 and we were a bit unbusy so we thought we could join the fray just for fun even if we are not friendly with any one involded. Titans bridges were set quickly and we came on the field with about a 100 men subcap sniping fleet.
On the field we focused mainly on subcap ships, as our dps was too low to be efficient on caps.
About the avatar'DD : we were aligned but no many peeps needed to warp out : BS could tank one DD and after that DD for a while all our BS fleet was very close structure, thx to our logistic peeps which made a great job to remote repair us .
Great fight, great fun : that all eve need to be !
edit : i forgeted : peack was ~350 in local and no lag at all during all the fight : great job CCP.

This was my 2nd big PVP battle on thesame day :D (And my first 2 :D) Ive been in 0.0 for like 3 days and I get this stuff, lol I feel like I found a new home.. :D
So here I was sitting at U3K gate with the rest of the support fleet in my Rokh (the only one in our support fleet o_O) loading up my blasters :D.. first I thought Oh noes.. not like yesterday of hours of waiting and doing nothing :(.. but then words started leaking in about needing support fleet at the capitals.. it got very unorganized as some people stayed and others flew off in random directions, I for one had no idea where to go, so I tried the cyno beacon first.. which was at a friendly POS.. no succes >_>
Then I tried warping to several fleet members, but no succes ether.. untill I finally found one, which warped me to the battle.. 200 km off >_<
Well lets turn on the MWD and get there :D (Ofcourse I was on one side of the bubbles, and the battle was on the other side of it >_>)
As I got closer my FPS kept dropping so I had to zoom out all the way in order to see any screen movement at all :P
After a few minutes of MWDing i reached our cap recharge support group and hit the broadcast for need cap, since i was clear out of that (dam u mwd) I quickly filled up and while refilling I listened to FC for primaries and secondary's
As I found those were again quite a distance away somehow so while flying to those I decided to try and pop a few ships on the way, since I had a blaster boat my range was limited to about 15 km, and all I could find that was in range was 1 BS and a few frigates..
So I started blasting this BS and to my luck it started getting closer to me to within 300m of my optimal, hitting him for almost 1800 damage with each volley.. When suddenly my target was gone o_O and I found myself staring at my shields and armor, which were completely gone too !! WTF
Lot of commotion on TS suddenly too.. what I could understand of it were words like "Titan" and "f*ck*ng doomsday* Well that was fun.. I had all settings on low and almost all graphics off so I didn't even see it  I had completely missed the presence of a Titan too -.-..
Crying for shield & armor rep (like almost every other person in our fleet) got me back up to full so that was a relief :D
Anyway I started to see fewer and fewer fleetmembers on the field, the doomsday killed quite alot of them I think, so I think everyone understood that it was time to evacuate.. words were given to ether take the bubbles down or pop them, to try and get the capitals out..
After I couldnt do anything anymore I decided that the fun was over and warped to a fleet member who called for us to come to his POS for a safespot for a while..
I stayed to talk around for about an hour to get down to reality and get to know what just happened in this battle.. we lost nearly all our capitals which is a pity but that battle was the most fun in EVE I had since I started :)
I would like to thank Moo- err COW for putting up such a fight, and my looks towards TCF (and like many of our alliance members) have dropped quite a bit now.. because they looked neutral to us first and also acted like that. Anyway, we will get our revenge when the time comes :)
I didnt catch any of the battle that followed after most of Republic left but I'm sure there was lots of PEWPEW too :D

That tower was the source of our titan by supporting endless ratting hours
It had survived 3-4 reinforcements by RA and now we defended it successfully against Republic capital fleet. Too bad PL decided drop by and pop it 
Was a crazy fight. Well executed plan putukas!

Was fun.
We were getting bored in 5H-, preparing evil plans for the evening.
We quickly decided for a U3K Battle Royal Special.
We arrived on the scene and proceeded to shoot stuff regardless of alliances.
I must admit though, after looking at the KB) we targeted The Republic quite a bit at the start. Nothing intentional.
Regarding the DD, we were aligned but since we knew we could tank it, only support was ordered to warp out. Note to self : rep drones dont tank DDs.
Lots of kills, lots of fun, -1 BS.
Sorry for crashing the party lads, but everyone had fun, and fun is important ya know !

u bringing most of your allys to fight would have been 1 on 1?
and next time turn down effects and stuff... i myself was dual counting and had hardly any lag.

thank to all involved for a very nice fight, and TCF I loved the fact that you came, and where shooting on both sides, it gave a few WTF moments on TS, when you where shooting both sides :D hehe. was atleast nice to see no side did massive blobbing, so we could have a fight with out lag for once.

Went AFK for a while, came back, wasn't paying attention to blinky channels until someone in corp starts talking about caps getting blown up, tab over to alliance for obligatory 'GTFO we've lost the fight, fall back' warnings.
GF to TCF/KRAUT/COW(haha nice avatar) and all the rest, GW has been exciting as of late with all the traffic :)
fake edit: LOL at some of the people who don't even live in this region anymore bragging about this victory over RE-AL and friends

Got to love it we are full of noobs (so some say) yet we are still in GW and getting the fights we want, but from being dock in a station or shooting at one my guy stayed to the end and help get some off are caps out now in my eyes is pure class and that vid what Krautbreak have done is the not bad apart from the part someone says we was shooting him for 15 mins that can not be true we was all dead in 10 mins
I can't wait for the next one lets see what pops out of the next cyno on both sides

I see your point - but they're still having fun.
I think this fight does demonstrate why it was important not to leave the Foundati0n name with any of the warring factions who remained in GW. If the Republic/Vanguard side had the name, some ex-FDN would be smacking them for giving it a bad name on the basis of the outcome here, which would be unfair since it's just one fight, and the first one.
But if the Cow/Uni side had the name, other ex-FDN would be angry that the name was no longer a symbol of NRDS in Great Wildlands.
Even if the Wildlands are not united against outside forces anymore (and let's face it, it had a long run), on the basis of what sounds like a good fight here, GW still promises some intriguing scraps, which is good.

nice battle report c0rn1, wish i had been around to get primed by re-al.
the thing with the caldari dreads is a tactic foundation fc's used against Red alliance. since pheonix's are not range limited by setup, it forces the enemy hand into dropping their dreads (long range). this meant we could then drop our moros's, revelations and naglfars with close range and superior damage on the enemy sniper dreads.
it puzzles me though, why re-al and tr borrowed this tactic in u3k, since looking at their losses they were almost entirely long range setups.
congrats to Seraphin Technologies, Art of war, Enterprise Estonia (long live the old -v-eritas corps!) and the rest for killing approx 62b isk of capitals. also LOL at TCF for being just as crazy as always.

it was a great battle, certainly turned out to be a bit more than a simple pos bash party, but it was a party nonetheless. i lost my hospital domi to the dd, but i did get screenshots of a massive capital ship graveyard. gf COW, we shall meet again soon.
