Some compiled questions (these are pretty much all for solo pvp because I am starting to rat in 0.0):
1) In solo pvp in what ships/situations are sentry drones useful? I always see people using normal mobile drones and not sentries.
2) Are ECM drones OR normal ECM ever used in solo pvp, I never see these equipped in solo loadouts?
3) When to use an AB instead of a MWD (other than agent missions).
4) With bookmarks, it just seems clumsy warping to them (menus and everything). Is there a way to keybind these types of actions for fast warps?
5) I also haven't pvp'ed yet...so I haven't lost a ship yet. After I lose my ship is it inevitable to get podded? Or is it easy to save your pod and get away?

1) Sentry drones are generally for sniping and fleet ops, but they can be useful solo if you want to use their DPS to finish someone off. However, they have really high skill requirements.
2) ECM is quite underpowered tbh, especially with all the nerfing. I do see ECM drones used on occasion; ECM mods take up valuable e-war (scrams, web, etc) and/or tank slots.
3) MWDs increase your signature radius a LOT (500% I believe), so you're easier to hit. Use them to get close, but never leave them on while orbiting unless you're sure they can't hit (orbiting a BS for example). ABs are great for any fit if you have a slot handy.
4) No, sadly.
5) In null-sec, you're often in a "bubble", or area-of-effect warp scrambler, so you can't warp and WILL get podded a lot of the times. In low-sec and high-sec, it's highly unlikely if you use the instawarp mechanic:
When you enter 25% structure (or even structure if you're in a smaller ship), pick a planet or other warp point and start spamming the "warp to" button. When you do eventually pop, your pod will warp instantly. People usually only lose pods when they fail to do this or lag.

Use the system map and right click the bookmark directly to warp.

1) The main drawback of any combat drone other than sentries is that your main source of dps is right next to the hostile target, thus putting it in easy range of smartbombs, other drones or any anti-drone weapons. A correctly set ishtar can **** its drones 70k off of a gate or station, run up to the station and tackle anything that comes through. This keeps your DPS safe. T2 Sentries are teh sex. You will ove them.
2) As an ishtar pilot, I don't mind carrying an extra flight of light ECMs as an oh ****, time to get out option. ECM drones are fine if you're in a ship that's applying the majority of its dps through guns and you just want to keep the target from killing you.
3) Use an AB either when trying to catch mission runners or when you know the situation you'll be in might offer warp scrambling.
4) No.
5) In lowsec or high sec yes, 0.0 not really. pick a celestial when you're about to die and start spamming the warp to button. It'll get your pod out.

The only decently solo-capable ship that can use sentries worth a crap is the Ishtar. You do see sentries used on those on a regular basis, mostly because you can park your sentries well away from the fight where they are less likely to get shot at .
Quote: 2) Are ECM drones OR normal ECM ever used in solo pvp, I never see these equipped in solo loadouts?
The dedicated ECM ships aren't very good solo boats (except maybe the Griffin). You do see medium ECM drones used a lot on Thoraxes, Ruptures, and even Brutixes since being able to intermittently jam your opponent is a huge advantage 1v1 and can let you get out if you bite off more than you can chew, and those particular ships do plenty of gun DPS already, which makes ECM drones a viable choice. ECM drones lose a lot of their appeal in any kind of gang engagement though.
Quote: 3) When to use an AB instead of a MWD (other than agent missions).
AB is good on any close-range ship where you know you will be fighting same-size or larger targets close in. In practice, they're generally used almost exclusively on Assault Ships (assault frigates), as their small sig is a big part of any cookie-cutter AFs tank. As you can imagine, this leaves you hugely vulnerable to being kited.

Not that I know of. Sucks, I know.

Use the instawarp trick as was already described.

Thanks for all the help. So, if I only have 3 mid slots (such as on a Vexor)...should I just default to a MWD? Or will this get me toasted in pvp?
I am planning on using a Vexor because I can fly it the best (T2 Drones, 5/5 Gal Cruisers, T2 Tank). So having three mid slots limits me.

Want to added a couple questions in addition to my last one (If I only have 3 mid slots (such as on a Vexor)...should I just default to a MWD? Or will this get me toasted in pvp?)
Where can I find an up-to-date list of trade hubs? I know of Jita and Rens.
Also, is there a list of the "regional trade hubs" for when you are in a regions that doesn't have any of the major ones?

EDIT: Jump Clones - I completely understand their purpose. Lets I am sitting in station X and purchase a jump clone in station X. I then immediately jump into that clone after purchasing and fly to station Y with my jump clone. After the 24 hour cooldown can I then jump back into my original clone at station X and leave my jump clone at station Y? (What I am saying is can I move my jump clone around and leave my skill clone stationary? Or do I have to purchase a jump clone and it is "stuck" at the original station I purchased it at...I mean stuck as in I cannot jump back to my skill clone unless I am in the station that the jump clone is purchased at.)
You can put your jump clone at any station you want. It does not have to be a station w/ a med station either.
