Is this some attempt to consolidate every alt corp in Eve into one alliance?

I may be wrong about this and I apologize to Ricdic if I am, but isn't Ricdic a gigantic drama queen? If it isn't him it's someone with a name very much like his.
There are just so many drama queens in this game though that it's hard to keep track.

Actually, it's a research alliance, a highsec alliance dedicated to sharing small to mid-sized corporation's lab and manufacturing slots from POS's.
It's actually a very good idea, and also provides protection to smaller research or industrial corps from highsec grief-decs from which your average 3 man research crew would have no defense.

The vast majority of alliance members seldom undock; our policy is for corps not to contain anything but research alts. The only things worth going after are the towers, which are well-defended. It is both costly and extremely boring to lay siege to them.
Zzz has been the target of about a dozen wars over the last couple of years. Only 1 of those resulted in even moderate damage to any of the towers, and that one was repelled by KIA Alliance. The average length of a Zzz war is 2-3 days, usually with zero casualties on either side.
