Yep, insurance for elite ships will remain broken. CCP refuses to fix it. Better get used to this, as they probably see it as a good money sink. I must say it does make combat more interesting, knowing that if you screw up, you lose a lot of cash on this tiny ship.

Weirda agree with this statement.
Just go NPC hunting for 6 hours in it first and recover the isk... then it OK to lose it! 
Last night Weirda got a True Sansha spawn (1 True Ravisher/2 Ravisher/4 Enslaver) and made 20+ mil off the loot in escrow.... not to mention the bounty... and that it take less time to collect the containers after you kills.
Now if only Weirda could keep from immediately spending every penny - could maybe make some headway!

Just go NPC hunting for 6 hours in it first and recover the isk... then it OK to lose it!

Weirda has the idea- go farm NPC cruiser spawns for a day and you'll make up the money in no time.
Speaking from experiance I can take 3x 100k Moas without losing half my shield on my Crow. It eats rockets pretty quickly, but 300k ISK every, say, 5 minutes is nothing to complain about! Do it for 2 days and you're sorted for your next one.... and the next....
Just don't take on those frig/BS spawns - web + uberwtfpwnage from BS

Ya... they hurt alot.. Only found out npcs could web an scramble the other day... pretty colours as my ship blew up though

Insurance is not broken at all. Insurance pays out the npc cost value of making the ship. Just beacause the manufactuters /miners/ whatever charge more for it, it doesnt matter. If ship insurance was ever more than what the ship costs to build (in npc cost) , it would be an exploitible loophole that would generate infinite isk. So stop whining about it.

And it is not a money sink, as the cash you paid for the inty goes back to players, not to npcs. So the money is still circulating around.

I have had Dev's tell me that the insurance would be altered to cover the market value of ceptors (which was promised to happen during this patch). And trust me guys.. the price for a Crow isn't going down any time soon.

well buyed me 2 crows 3 day¦s ago. even if i need a nother 3 day¦s to fly them. i fear the crows will even rais in price.
