Alright if were gonna get completely technical on the t2 thing, then what i mean by stop fitting your carriers as t2 is, if theres a faction or complex variant, then that is what you should fit to your carriers and at a minimum too, its just not,,,,, normal.
Then again really considering the setups linked earlier in this topic, i dont see a normal anything.

If you flew Carriers and knew how easy they are to gank, you wouldn't be so quick to judge people with T2 fittings. Low End faction is usually the summit of people's expenditure (AN EANM/Smartie/Neut.)
Of course, people with money to burn will have more leeway to fit better mods. ---------- This space is for rent. That makes me a rent boy. Contact me for details. |

rofl
anyone fitting carriers and dreads with anything else then t2 and maybe low end faction stuff like db eanm or cap relay or heat sinks which cost what 20-ish mill per mod is:
1. Moron 2. Someone who have so much isk he don't care.
95 % of cases fell under number 1. __________________________________

Edited by: Veto Nalloc on 05/05/2009 11:09:02 well im sorry if having a decent ammount of isk to spend on a ship is such a big deal for you, maybe you should look at your own wallets and check to see if you spent more isk on modules than what the ship is actually worth next time you judge ppl on the balance of their wallets tard, ffs the difference in spending 20mil to 40mil is nothing when it comes to generating tank of +400dps more in certain cases module dependant.
99.99% of the time ppl spend more isk on modules than what a ship cost including rigs for said ship you name me one decent pvper who hasnt done so, no matter what the ship is 99.99 % of the time you spend more isk on the modules simple as that. u spend over a billion isk on a carrier i assure you its worth spending 2 times that on modules, ofcourse, you only name one instance were it is worth while spending nothing on your carrier and opting for t2 which is being ganked, just shows that your alliance may not consider backing your ass up if you happen to get hot dropped, odds or no odds on survival clearly backing each other up is something u might not have heard of.

And tbqfh im not even gonna continue ship setup discussions in here, if you wanna learn how to setup a ship properly in future download EFT spend some time understanding how the ship works best wit its bonuses vary your setups to your abilities in terms of skills for tank and gank then bring it to the field. before that, dont bother undocking. as for DMH those guys who fitted their ships like that i do hope you kicked, its an embarresment
What is the point of bringing faction fitted carrier or dread into 150 man cap fight? It is gonna last 2 seconds more. And die anyway.
I also faction fit my **** when i use it for small scale stuff. I sure as hell wont trow away 3 bill isk on carrier or dread in a fight where is a good chance i wont load grid or be able to shoot single gun and die horribly. For that cases T2 is way to go. Even on Motherships tbfh. Its oversized carrier anyway. __________________________________

First of all, learn to respect others and their point of view. Especially when your point of view is based on ...eft and not on something that you have experience on.
The only reason you wouldn't fit a carrier with modules 3 times its value is that you will loose it and with that amount of isk you can buy 2 more. Uber modules won't save you in a large engagement. You see how many titans die lately. Did it make any difference that most of them were officer-fitted? Well it made for the people who looted it, so if you wanna make your enemies happy by dropping yummy mods, well its your money not mine. (Without suggesting that you shouldn't max out a Titan)
I guess that you could spend lots of isk on a power symbol, that you would generally not undock, your e-peen Nyx that you never use, your officer fitted bhaalgorn, etc . But not on a ship that you will probably loose in your next engagement. The ability to field more is what matters most, and a decent fitting, t2 or faction. That anyone with some brain can achieve.

Dead Mans Hand is still fail.
Most likely in empire doing missions and proclaiming to NPC's that their systems will be assimilated, or something of that nature.
Now that I have saved you 6 months of anguish/disappointment, just go ahead and disband now. Your welcome.

Stalina- Youre exactly right!
No but on a serious note, it doesnt harm ppl spending time in eft and understanding what a ship is capable of and maximising its potential, its what the program is for at the end of the day. Ofcourse in a dream world you could fit the ships exactly how you want to ingame based on what you did on eft, but the reality of it is, its the iskies that rule your choices. I suppose in essence i was too hasty with the T2 smack, i mean i do get it, but for me personally, id rather spend a few more hundred mil knowing that i bought a ship thats got what it takes to hold its own.
I still have to laugh at the large armor rep 1 tho on that thanny...
