So heres the idea: im going to do pvp commentary (think alliance tournament ) and just upload mp3s to the club-bear web site.
Answers to some simple questions i expect!
----how do i listen? the file you download will be an mp3, you need to find a program to play it simultaniously with the video. I will indicate in the recording when to start playing the video so that we are synced. RTS fans should be familiar =)
----what videos will i do? anything the community wants tbh. im going to start with a few of my own videos and see how it goes. i know the most about those so its easiest for me. If you have pvp footage/videos that you want my opinion about, link me the video and maybe ill just do commentary for that video.
----whats the point jerk face, who wants to listen to you anyway?! well, my eve mail box has indicated to me that theres still a significant amount of new players here in eve that have TONS of questions about pvp. Hopefully they will be the ones to benefit most. If you find yourself bored with what im saying, you probably know more than me and dont need to listen and thats totally fine.
please let me know what information is interesting or not interesting, that way i can hopefully hone my subject selection to stuff thats interesting to you guys. any other feedback is of course welcome.

hey guys glad some are finding it useful so far. i hope to do a commentary for seven sometime today or tomorrow.
the weapon groupings should be because i have 2 different types of blaster (like the brutix has 5 electrons and 2 ions, or something). Once upon a time i theoried that if you had 2 groups of alternating weapons, you could alternate heat and get more total time overheated by spreading it that way. at this point though ive given up on that.
as for music track listings, it can always be found in the original thread for the video, which should be locatable with eve-search.
would love to hear more about what kind of stuff you guys want to hear, but it seems like im appealing more to the new/unafimilar pvper which is what i was hoping for so im glad for that.

the possibilities in this arena are very open-ended. i got the inspiration to do this mostly from RTS commentary(starcraft/coh etc), and in those environments there is often join-t commentary, and often commentary on games that are not played by the commentator. however it doesnt transfer perfectly to eve. as much as i would love to do join-t commentary or critical commentary on others' videos of eve pvp, videos arent the best option for it because there arent lulls to allow room for the inevitable discussions between commentators that would develop, and i dont have all the information that the pilot does. so for now i will stick with doing my own videos and see if theres opportunity to expand to something else somewhere down the line.
i plan to do seven and also ursa unleashed before the end of this weekend. again, im really happy to hear some less experienced pvpers are enjoying this. Ill try to include some discussion on implants/roaming and its costs/fitting in coming commentary.
tbh it almost makes me think i should just do a podcast type of thing, but the video is great for supplementing any strategic discussion with actual case evidence and visuals.
look for the new ones in the coming days o/

i mentioned it dark and some people thought it was a bad/egotistical idea. some thought it sounded ok though i think <shrug>.
you guys that would rather have videos, i assure you producing these audio things in no way influences the amount of time between videos. been a rough couple weeks so nothing new in the pipe yet =/

why would you assume that a review would be negative? just because i might sit back and "judge" someone else's video doesnt mean i would have bad things to say. and besides, some people might appreciate hearing something they could do different to be more effective. in away talking only about my own piloting is limited. sure i have a good idea of why things are being done the way they are, but i have no way of reaching a fresh perspective.
not saying im intent on doing anything like this, just think its odd to view it as such a harsh/critical/negative process. it could just be fun, and i might even be more willing to talk about how awesome they are than i would with myself.

awww my thread has been resurrected <3
the tournament has totally inspired me. i had footage for maybe 1/3-1/2 of a vid before i went a bit innactive during my wedding and stuff at the end of the summer. im hoping to get back to it and have something for you guys asap.
nova thats a really hard question. i think the ship ide most love to see pvp footage of would be a machariel. its so so cool. followed maybe by rattlesnake and nightmare (though DHB wildcat has given us a lot in the nightmare department.)

im glad you guys like it =) im trying to make progress on some new stuff but its slow going atm.
also - i dont charge to roam. count is not my spokesman. but im not easy to pin down either so good luck =)
