Is there such a ship? Im doings missions and it takes FOREVER to get to my agent to meet him in person....literally around 20 warps! Its ridiculous. Im assuming different ships have better warp drives? Ones that dont require you to warp as often? I always have to use those damned star gates....UGH!

YEs you are in luck. There are a few ships which you can train for... I would suggest a carrier for missions.
Though evidently you are simply near lowsec. The mission sends u on the otherside of that lowsec. So your autopilot sends you 20 jumps for fun. ------------------------ To make a megathron from scratch, you must first invent the eve universe. ------------------------ Life sucks and then you get podded. |

The only ships that can get around gates and do multiple jumps at once are Capital Ships (Rorqual, Carrier, Dreadnaught, Mothership, Titan) and Jump Freighters. You can not use the jump drive in hisec, however, nor can you can any of these ships other than the Jump Freighters into hisec. BECAUSE OF FALCON! |

Edited by: Bigpimping on 06/05/2009 16:01:17 You doing missions in a rickshaw? That is pretty insane.
Maybe mission in a smaller system (radius wise). Also there is a skill you can train to reduce warp capacitor need ---> Warp Drive Operation.
Also train up your general capacitor skills

Ignore the first two posts. The ship's mass is what determines cap use for warp, so you may be in a ship that has a bad ratio of mass/cap.
These will help - Train warp drive Operation - reduces amount of cap used to warp - Train Energy Management - Increases the size of your capacitor
Energy systems ops won't help directly, but will help your cap to recharge faster for the next warp.

Edited by: Shadow Devourer on 06/05/2009 16:16:44 Are you flying a kestrel with 2 cap fluxes and an mwd . Even with minimal skill you shouldn't run out of cap too often.
If you mean you have to do a lot of jumps then set autopilot to go through low sec. Or don't and find another agent.

This is your answer. You might want to notice how far the gate is you need to warp to and relate that number to how may times you have to stop along the way.
We will assume you are not trolling.

How is he not trolling? A rookie ship can fly across a whole star system with out stopping 1/2 way because you ran out of cap...

I've got to ask just what type of ship you're flying and what fitting you're using. I haven't had "insufficient cap to warp to XXXX" issues with a mission ship since I stopped trying to run missions in a Bantam. My Covert Ops (which I don't do missions in) can make about 80 AU on a full charge with a 1MN MWD II fitted. According to EFT, my Caracal mission ship can do 168 AU, my Drake can do 370 AU, my Raven can do 471 AU, and my Navy Issue Raven can do 975 AU with a full capacitor charge in a single warp.
I'd have to guess that you're using a frigate with a small capacitor to begin with, probably fitting something like a MicroWarp Drive that reduces that total capacitor even further, and don't have the skill Energy Manage trained very high if at all.
Now, if you're talking about 20 jumps through stargates, then you need to change agents rather than ships. Normal agents don't send you that far. Combat missions generally only send you 0-2 systems away from the agent. Courier missions can send you up to 8-10 systems away. The only ones I've seen that send you that far away are either the Faction War agents, or one bordering low-sec. If your autopilot is setup to avoid low-sec when possible you can easily get a 20 jump route to get around the 2 low-sec systems between your start and destination. ______________________________________________________ Isn't it enough to know that I ruined a pony making a gift for you? |

Do you mean jumping? As in travelling between star systems?

Bantam with newbie skills can only go 30AU before running out. Some systems are over 100AU, which is a problem for most pilots.
