A Mega with a Afterburner.
Dude, fit a mwd to your raven, and shoot from >12km.
AND watch mega meltdown while he can do only drone dps.
Be realistic, no gallente closecombat pilot fits AB.
One who seeks balance should always look at total, not individual systems.

MWD is actually a gallente thingie. Gallentean ships have bonuses for it, even its Ewar focused on that.
If you do not fit MWD on your mega, you cannot catch up other ships.
It's just simple as that. If mega gets closer to your raven, youre dead.
Just MWD out to 22km. Your ships has bonus to torp range, so use it!
About the typhoon issue. If it's not nullsec mwd is useless on this ship imho.
Against megas, my phoon can dodge most bullets coming from a mega WİTH 3x trimark 2x 1600 AND a single web.( at orbiting close range )
But thats another issue.
BTW rage torpedoes have 650 UNSKİLLED explosion radius. I cannot log into game but you have skills that lowers the explosion radius.
SO against a mega, it is very possible to do high damage considering you can choose to shoot bane missiles.
However, if you did the same calculations for an amarrian ship, i can agree with you =)

If torps had less range ( say 5-10km )
i would aggree that their exploison radius should be lesser.
But if they become effective in that way
They will be the best weapons from 0 to 22 24 km
making Hybrids and Autocannon's redundant.
They have to have a drawback.
Hybrids, do not track well in their optimal and their range suck
Lazors have tracking problems when fighting closer and they have same dmg times.( ofc they are OP =) )
Autocannon's have the least damage in overall range. Forced to fight in falloff all the time.
Torps are fine. Fitting a TP,web and a Distruper is the problem of RAVEN ( actually, for gangs raven>mega imho )
I prefer Siege launchers on my Typhoon rather than Autocannon's all the time. So fix Large AC's first =)

It's the bonus of missiles, they can do 1 type of raw damage?
