CCP needs to contact Industrial Light and Magic, JJ Abrams, or Paramount. The story line in Eve is rich enough, and there is enough drama. Just one movie would bring sales of the online game through the roof.
Just food for thought as you watch the movie.
Except that in Star Trek the ships are all like 500m from eachother, in EVE they are like 70-100k away.

Not as far as I know. It had Dennis Hopper as Bowser though.
Dennis Hopper is the king of awesome B-Movie roles.
I recommend Space Truckers for anyone that plays Eve. 
He is also in True Romance, his scene with Christopher Walken makes the movie.
Dennis Hopper was excellent as the bad guy in Waterworld too, had the best lines in the movie imo.
As for sci-fi stuff, I like the ones who have a good amount of everything, good actors, effects, some humor thrown in there...one of my favorites is The Fifth Element (one of my ships is named after Korbin's cab), also Firefly, stuff like that.
