Was in an alliance a while ago which had a kid who was 8 if I remember correctly, he was in a corp with his dad. Not exactly a great thing when the kid is playing and starts posting the most ridiculous questions on intel channels and nobody has the guts to tell him to stop asking them there, me included.

My cat likes to play eve for some reason and he's just 9 months old.
(And he friggin got me concordokened because i had auto lockback on and he was walking over the F-keys)
But for some reason he sits on the keyboard watching when i play eve.

I have flown with a number of the squeaky voiced ones, the squeaky voiced ones are the ones that are ok and act mature and proper. I know one character that started when he was 11, with his dad in 2003, he fell in with a mature bunch who treated him well. Since then I have met other young ones. Most are sensible types, perhaps eve makes you sensible when you are young!!!
Or perhaps its the life lessons you can learn here, the ones that really do shove it in your face, like losing all your isk in one ship, market order etc etc...

Not wishing to be an idiot but never the less posting like one: If anyone under the age of consent in their part of the world is, actually, playing EVE then I have major issues with that.
The EULA is a contract. Allowing a minor to agree to a contract can carry some pretty nasty fines with it as well as the fact you can't hold a minor to the terms of the contract (i.e. all that stuff in the EULA about not being able to do stuff? They can) attempting to hold them to it just gets you slapped around by the cheap suits.
I'm not sure but I can't remember the EVE client or account creation system actually demanding a date of birth from me, so without the "you must be this old to play" function all it'd take is one moron "think of the children" group and *poof*.

Even if the EULA was a contract (it's not, it's a license), contracts can be legally enforceable on minors in my jurisdiction, with some obvious caveats.
