That would be cool to be eves youngest gamer... I found the game 2 and a half years ago on my 11th b-day and ive played ever sense... Anyone else out there?

I never started playing seriously until last year, though, which is why my main is only a year and a half old. Wish I still had my original char tbh. However, on another note, I now have one of those annoying sigs.

But my congradulations goes out to anyone who is good at eve and young, Eve takes alot of patience that young people are famous for lacking, well, some of us anyway :). I myself am 16, northern suburbs, Adelaide (South Australia). I have yet to meet anyone else either in or out of game who is local-ish and my age, I do know a few other South Aussies though. Yeah, If your local ish feel free to send me an eve mail ingame!

I found that people's respect for me had a direct correlation to my English and typing capabilities. As far as age being an issue, it's generally how you behave. I used to have this trial accaunt in 2004 or 2005 and I didn't understand the game at all, english not being my first language certainly didn't help with that, but I loved it. Just wasn't allowed to pay for the subscription so I couldn't play longer as 14 days , I had so much trial accaunts. To be able to buy a cruiser I used to farm isk on the first accaunt and then buy items from the isk and drop them at a can at a planet and pick them up with the second accaunt.

When I started playing Anarchy Online back in 2001 I was only 14 years old and had to take the ropes of an organisation pretty quickly, best learning experience in my life to date I think. It may sound geeky but it's true, being a leader at that age taught me responsibility which has given me alot of stuff in real life, and my english improved aswell so my grades in school actually went up instead of down. A thing you must remember, people can be worried about your age, most young people tend to me pretty spontanious and uncontrolled. Just remember to be calm, try to be as mature as you can be, people will appreciate that and if you want, give you more and more responsibiliy. Good luck.

I know one character that started when he was 11, with his dad in 2003, he fell in with a mature bunch who treated him well. Since then I have met other young ones. Most are sensible types, perhaps eve makes you sensible when you are young!!! Or perhaps its the life lessons you can learn here, the ones that really do shove it in your face, like losing all your isk in one ship, market order etc etc...

BTW you have to be at least 13 years old to register but according to the new EULA someone over 13 years old can sign up on behalf of a child. From the EULA: "i.
