I had an interesting evemail from myself today (apparently). This was done in game and not on the forums.
"OverKill's Conscience" wrote me saying that "we had been bad and we'd be a lot worse" in the near future. That sounds like malicious harrassment doesn't it? Or at the very least something omininous would be done using this alt's name.
Just thought I'd let the public know that this character is in no way associated with me or Hadean Drive Yards. Nor do I believe is it associated with the other OverKill (spelt with a zero) and his Corporation of m0o. Feel free to spank on sight.
Anyways...
When I inquired to The Powers That Be as to whether this was harrassment or not they told me it wasn't and that there was nothing they could do as it wasn't against EULA. Even though this was specifically directed at me and something I viewed as harrassing.
I cannot give direct quotes as that is not allowed but the long and the short of it is...
They did tell me though that if this individual used profanity that I could contact them and it would be dealt with.
ROFLMAO, I spent three years in the armed forces. There isn't a four letter word around that I haven't learned to express in a variety of situations. Profanity I can tolerate, direct character harrasment I cannot.
Well I suppose thats enough of my egocentric ranting for today afterall I'm the idiot paying for this service every month.

On the plus side, you might be the only character in Eve who can actually hunt down and pod his own Conscience, thus leaving you free to continue on a course of guilt-free EvE-wide domination.
However, it does suck that its not considered harassment.
I'd go for the podding option mate.

the fact that a alt was made with the specific purpose to write messages like this to overkill would make it more allong the lines of harasement in my book...
so give overkill a break, if he finds it harassement, then so be it.
the fact that he is/was military doesen't change anything to it, even if he was the president of some country, when he's playing eve, he's a customer yust like the rest of us, so he shoulden't get harrased.
and gillie, some military's are different than others, why woulden't there be one where you can join for just 3 years? and why woulden't he be still in it? 
pritty off topic if you ask me...

anyway, if your conscience tries again, you can always try reporting again if you think it's worth it... maibe next time it's no longer in the grey area but in the black, forbidden area

I think the Army might have a 3 year term, but not sure. I was wondering the same thing since most brances are 4,5 or 6 years for their first term depending your your MOS.

That's completely depending on what country. A few of us still have conscription so it can be between a few months to a few years.
