More useful yes.
"Useful" is a very subjective word. Just about every skill related to my profession is maxed out. I have no "use" for any other skills beyond those, because they involve aspects of that game in which I have little interest. Shall I then simply not train anything, just because no other skills are relevant to what is useful for me?
What, in your opinion, could I do to make myself more "useful"? --- All 390 skills trained. |

Not to be an ass or anything, because this certainly is an accomplishment (props by the way), but if you don't need to train anymore skills for your profession, then pay the 20 bucks and transfer your character to another account, with your main or w/e. If this is your main, and you have all your skills maxed for what you do then and you are still having fun doing it.. uh... then i guess this is a valid option.
It's JUST a suggestion, and in all honesty having the character with all the skills in eve can be your thing, and i, nor anybody else should have a problem with it. My suggestion was only the most practical option as training skills you won't ever use is not very practical in the world of EVE.
However, it's something that gets you fame, and fame in EVE is always good no matter what. Use THAT to your advantage, sir.

you know those random times people eject from their ships and leave? And you can't fly that orca sitting there? Thats what his skills are good for... or titans that moved to far out of shields...
not to mention the fact that within a month he could be an decent pilot in anything he wanted to fly. And I see several ships that he could fit T2 and play in right now.

Once again, I have reached my goal of having trained every obtainable skill in EVE. I added #390 this morning, marking the fifth time a I have achieved this goal.
Congrats Trip!
I've only 130 lvl 5 skills out of 188 skills. Due to RL pressures, I've had to settle for just skill training. The skill queue certainly makes this easier. Also, I don't have game pressures to train certain skills to use the newest items in the game, so I can concentrate on skills I normally would not bother with. Its certainly opened up a lot of new skills that I'm now elibible to train, so that can't be a waste. Not to mention all sorts of new goodies I can use or fly. That reminds me, I do need to purchase a Maruader one day LOL!
One nice thing going for you is that you now have any training path you want open to you and it will no longer cost you any ISK. Unless CCP seeds the Telekinesis skill. That is needed to use the remote self-destruct. ----------- Amused pilot |

Of course I am. The only skill goal I consider out-of-reach is Dr Caymus' record of having the most skill points. Being able to fly all ships, have all elite certificates, and have the most level 5 skills are some of the things on my mind. Right now I'm still working on getting rid of all my level 1 skills by getting them up to level 2. Only 142 left to go. Originally by: Clementina Congradulations Tripoli for your accomplishment.

RPM 5 is one of the skills on my list of things I'd like to have. I have a several career-related skills I wouldn't mind maxing out.
Also, since this year's respec optimized my attributes for Navigation skills, I was thinking of polishing off that skill tree. I certainly wouldn't be the first to do it, but it would be nice to have. --- All 390 skills trained. |

Poor you, I got them when they were still 4.5bil a piece. I remember you weren't happy when I told you prices had gone up, so in November( if no new skills are introduced before then), I'll have spend a bit less money on skills than you. Ok, since I was bored I used EveMon to play around. If you did the recommended learning skills and no implants it would take 1951d, 23h, 44m, and 29s (or basically 5.34 years) to get all skills to Level I. Thi is with a new character, and for my case I used Amarr and started with the basic 56,489 SP and 11 starting skills.
If you optimized your skills once at the start you could do it in 1832d, 10h, 2m, 41s (or basically 5.01 years).
If you bought a nice set of +5 implants (all improved versions) you could get it down to 1543d, 11h, 28m, 20s (including cybernetics V) (basically 4.22 years).
The MSRP of all skill books (not including the ones the test toon started with is 28,802,173,000 isk. You would have 84,131,504 skill points, including Cybernetics V.
This does include the non-public skill Salvage Drone Operation as Trip mentioned he had it.
