Yeah I trained up to 45 trades early on and hardly ever needed all of them. Now I am at the point where I fill them all and am training Trade 5 and Retail 4 so I can get 12 more orders. I think it will still be easy for me to keep 57 orders maxed. I'll likely need to get up to Wholesale by midsummer.

I play for about 4 hours a day. Most of it Mining in high sec. I make 300m in about a week and a half to two weeks just mining veldspar. If you have the time 300m a month is easy. Get a hulk as soon as possible and you should have no problem paying for plexes.

This is why I think paying for Eve using ISK that you neither have fun making nor have fun spending is kinda silly. From the sound of it, the OP is not looking to have fun making his ISK. |

Agreed, it's totally pointless. You can definitely work more hours in real life and make more money faster. Two and a half hours at minimum wage pays for your month of Eve. After a year of playing I am looking to get into this Plex thing. I kind of think it's cheating to use them to buy isk with real world money, but I don't mind being on the other end of it, paying for my account by playing the game well. I hope to within a couple of months pay for three accounts. (If my friend will let me play his industrialist toon as he is quitting Eve for a while.) If I had my own industrialist toon I could pretty easily pay for one or two of the accounts.

I login, trade for about 4 hours a week and it pays for my GTC for the next few months.
Sure.. could I freelance myself and work on some network somewhere. Obviously, but then I wouldn't be at home and able to take a break from that 4 hours whenever I wanted to, so that I can play with my son. |

You need more money to be able to spend only 4 hours a week doing it, but certainly I've been clocking revenue of about 300m per day over the past couple of days. Now that's revenue, and not profit, but I have pretty good profit margins across the board.

Well I was responding to the question of whether or not you are having fun doing it? Are you having fun doing it? I am so it's worth it. If you are grinding to pay for it and you hate the tedium of it, then it's not worth it.

300m a month isn't that hard to do with 800m. Location is a factor, as is time, but I'm a complete slacker at trading, and still make upwards of 80m when I'm on for a few hours as I was today. Granted, I have more capital to work with, but still, if I traded at the volume I used to back in the day, I could make far more off just trading alone. I doubt I'm the the only trader to do so.
Manufacturing can be good...but it's limited. The biggest slowdown, imo, is researching what's worth bothering with. And unless you're at a hub, you need to do that quite a bit, since manufacturing ability for many items can easily outstrip demand.
Moon mining is frankly, not worth the effort. Can it be profitable? Ungodly so....if you have the right moon. The good stuff is generally claimed though, and getting one is a task more appropriate for alliances than a guy looking to invest a few hundred mil.
If time is a severe issue, I reccomend stashing extra iskies in dbank or eve bank. The return will be nothing close to 300m a month, but it's a return that requires essentially none of the most precious commodity, time. Manage what isk you can, stash the rest away.

Ive paid my last two months off plexes... granted I bought them when they were 320 mil... unfortunately they're going up, but how I did this was straight mission running. Seems like salvaging and rat bounties are the way to go.. plus that fat paycheck for doing things within the time limits. Also, when you want to kill time just mine and use the minerals to manufacture stuff, ammo in trade hubs seems to fair quite well. :)

Step 2: visit online GTC retailer.
Step 3: purchase GTC code.
Step 4: convert to PLEX.
Step 5: Pay for month 1 with plex #1.
Step 6 (day 7): rest.
Step 7: rest for 23 more days.
Step 8: Pay for month 2 with plex #2.

When people say "get a RL job", it's not exactly as easy as it sounds. Ever hear of recession? The US alone has ~10% unemployment, and I'm sure other countries are feeling the bite as well.
Before you all start jumping all over people that want to pay to play using ISK, think about this: can they GET a job?
