Given most PVP ships fit either passive shield tanks, buffer tanks, or active armor tanks, I'm looking for ships that are PVP focused that are active shield tanked. I know there must be some ;-) Slepnir and ? |

Slepnir, don't know that ship.
Things to have for an active tank: <insert size here> shield booster.

Maelstrom 
Sleipnir and other ships in the same hull of course. Besides that not that many ships are often active shield (or armor) tanked in pvp. Some people active tank rokhs. I think the hawk gets a bonus for active shield tanking, allthough it stays crap.

As to PvP focused ships ...
Sleipnir is also the only one I can think of due to the fact it has that Skirmish Warfare bonus.
I think that most ships fitting an active shield tank in PvE can be adpated to PvP.

Tempest can be active shield tanked as can domi... granted most people prefer to fit those with Armor tanks, it's technically possible.
But Scorp, is the most PVP focused caldari ship and could fit a minimal active shield tank...

Had a friend who used an active tanked cyclone with some success in lowsec. Seemed fun to fly too.

General comments:
1. Ship's that have an active tank bonus, usually at least have the option to consider an active tank (even in PvP).
2. Battleships, may not fit one per standard but usually have the option to when the situation presents itself (/w shield: XL-booster, no XL extenders).
3. Small ships with fitting issues, where buffers are generally oversized. You can see frigates who can't fit MSE, look to put on a local booster (rarely).
4. Let's not forget Logistics, while they too may preferrably use buffers, there are some dual/transfer setups that utilize a local booster.
